According to Kris Jenner, the I Think I’m Okay drummer revealed to her that he bought his apartment a block away from his now-wife, Kourtney Kardashian, because he felt she was the one for him. On an episode of The Kardashians, Jenner told Kardashian about the conversation.
“Do you want to know why he relocated to Calabasas?” She continued, “He said, Because I knew she lived in Calabasas, and I knew she was the love of my life; I didn’t even know her like that, but I just knew that if I couldn’t date her or be with her because she was with someone else, at least I could live by her.”
Kardashian was surprised upon hearing her fiancé’s words to her mom and later said of Barker, “I’ve never met a better human in my life, like, the thoughtfulness and just everything.”
Travis Barker moved to Calabasas for the first time in 2007. He returned to the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles County a year after his divorce from Shanna Moakler. In 2017, he purchased a second home in the region. Barker recalls a 2006 vacation to Amsterdam with Paris Hilton and her closest friend Kim Kardashian in his 2015 autobiography, Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums, and shared that when he first laid eyes on her, he was stunned by her beauty.

As intimate as it sounds that he moved to be closer to the Poosh creator, some Kardashian fans were skeptical, pointing out that Travis Barker had a crush on Kim Kardashian right around the time he moved to Calabasas in 2007. In fact, Barker praised KimK as f**king hot in his autobiography, adding that she’s eye candy and that he had a great crush on her.
Travis Barker revealed in one of his interviews with Us Weekly that he met the reality star while hooking up with Paris Hilton. At the time, she was her assistant.
“How could you not be attracted to Kim?” Barker stated. “I enjoyed hanging out with Paris, but I prefer curvy girls. Kim was a sight to behold. I was not disrespectful to Paris, but I couldn’t take my eyes off Kim!”
He also stated that he had a crush on her and that they were flirty, but nothing ever happened and that they simply remained friends.
Travis Barker was eventually able to move forward in his life with his now-wife, Kourtney Kardashian, after divorcing his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, the mother of his two children. Even his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, alleged last year that Travis Barker had cheated on her with Kim Kardashian, but Travis denies this.
