The Disney+ miniseries Ahsoka, which is a spinoff of The Mandalorian was conceived and produced by Dave Filoni and stars actress Rosario Dawson in the lead. Following the collapse of the Empire, Ahsoka Tano is investigating a new threat to the galaxy in the television series.
The actress returned to play the title character from The Mandalorian‘s second season in the miniseries, which will consist of eight episodes. Fans can hardly contain their excitement as a new trailer reveals a familiar face is making a comeback. Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin Skywalker in Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka
In the fourth episode of Disney+’s show Ahsoka, the return of none other than actor Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader, who had once trained Rosario Dawson’s character Ahsoka Tano’s character as a young Padawan.
The actor appears towards the end of the episode after Ahsoka loses a lightsaber battler, Baylan Skoll, played by late actor Ray Stevenson, and when she falls off the cliff, she appears to be in the mysterious World Between Worlds. It is a mystic and ethereal Force dimension existing beyond time and space.
Anakin Skywalker greets her with a familiar nickname, ‘Hello Snips’, and Ahsoka is in complete shock. Ahsoka looks at him and he adds that he did not expect to see her so soon, and the credits roll with Darth Vader’s song playing in the background.

Star Wars Special: Master and Apprentice announced
To Star Wars fans’ surprise, a Star Wars special was announced titled Master and Apprentice and fans could not help but notice the release date for the special, which is September 8th, 2023, sparking the speculation that Skywalker will surely appear in Rosario Dawson’s starrer Ahsoka’s fifth episode.
Fans have noted that the announcement of the special could hint that Hayden Christensen, who appeared briefly towards the end of episode four, would appear in episode five, with the special being released after his return to detail the dynamic of master and apprentice.
The two of them have a long history together dating back to their first meeting in 2008’s Clone Wars movie in which Ahsoka had trained under Anakin until she walked away from the Jedi order. They again cross paths in Rebels as Ahsoka discovers that Anakin Skywalker is Darth Vader.
The Star Wars special which is speculated to showcase Anakin and Ahoska is now being compared to Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Legends, which was a docuseries created for Disney+ based on the characters from the MCU, with each episode showcasing an individual character along with highlighting footage from their appearance in the MCU movies as highlight their prominent moments.
However not much is known about Master and Apprentice as the makers have decided to keep the special under wraps until its premiere.

As soon the Star Wars special: Master and Apprentice was announced, ardent fans of Star Wars took to their social media to share their views and opinions on the same with a user writing, “I might f*cking cry”, while someone mentioned, “Not everyone watched rebels and clone wars so some people may not know how special their bond actually is. You knew Anakin and Obi’s bond as master and apprentice just by the movies.” Another user wrote, “CRYING, SCREAMING, LETS GO.”

Another fan wrote while quoting the tweet, “I will not be okay. I will need to be sedated,” with someone writing that they cannot even comprehend the amount of deep satisfaction they felt at the moment.
Fans have, however, raised concern over the fact that how will the character of Anakin Skywalker return as Ahsoka takes place during the MandoVerse, which is five years after Darth Vader died in Return of the Jedi. The fans on the internet pointed it out by stating that they are excited about the special but would prefer if the makers either de-age Dawson or had a younger actress play the role.

However, reports also suggest that the creator may further explore the event in Ahsoka, which could mean that the actor could play both Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker just the way he did in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
