“I never said this”: Daredevil Star Vincent D’Onofrio Clears the Air on Anti-Spider-Man Comment
Recently rumors caught fire that Vincent D’Onofrio who plays MCU’s crime lord Kingpin in various shows had warned or challenged Marvel superhero Spider-Man. News outlets came out with this claim following the actor’s response to an audience during a fan expo in Philadelphia recently.
The actor is set to return with his role in the upcoming Disney Plus series Daredevil:Born Again. And his recent playful warning to tackle beloved Web-slinger has people wondering whether he was hinting at Kingpin and Spider-man crossover since.
Furthermore following the news of his warning at the expo, D’Onofrio quickly cleared the air addressing the news via Twitter.
Vincent D’Onofrio Clears The Air Surrounding His Warning at Spider-Man
Before things got out of hand, Vincent D’Onofrio seems to have decided to clear the air surrounding his recent response about Spider-Man at the Philadelphia fan expo some days ago. His apparent warning to face off the Web-Slinger was taken as a possible hint at Spider-Man and his character Kingpin’s crossover.

However according to the actor that might not be the case as he took to Twitter recently to clear up everything. According to him, his response had been toward the audience dressed up as Spider-Man who had been one of the people asking questions. Clearing the air, D’Onofrio tweeted,
“I never said this to Tom Hollands Spidy”
So it turns out he was only being playful towards the cosplayer rather than the MCU character played by Tom Holland.
And that means, there would not be a crossover between the two shortly at least as far as it is concerned. However, fans will get to watch him on the screen once again in the Disney Plus series Echo and Daredevil:Born Again.

Wilson Fisk a.k.a Kingpin is a Marvel Villain appearing as the main antagonist in the Daredevil Tv series and the Disney Plus mini-series Hawkeye. Kingpin is a powerful megalomaniacal crime lord based in New York. His ability to manipulate people around him can get him whatever he wants.
And one of his main objectives is to work for the betterment of Hell’s Kitchen which ultimately brings him in contradiction with Matt Murdock who is also the Daredevil. Kingpin is one of the most feared crime lords in the MCU played by Vincent D’Onofrio. Daredevil: Born Again is slated to release on Disney Plus in 2024.
