Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are one of those couples that every couple kind of looks up to. They have been together for what seems like forever and have one of the best love stories the entertainment industry has ever seen. The duo first met in 1996 and have been together ever since. They even got married the same year by eloping to Vegas. Last year, Ripa published her book Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories which instantly became a New York Times bestseller.
Today, we are going to look back at the time when the TV personality talked about getting a pregnancy scare at the age of 50.
Kelly Ripa talks about pregnancy scare during the pandemic lockdown
Before the release of her book in September of 2022, Kelly Ripa did multiple interviews to promote her new project. In one of these interviews, Ripa revealed a time when she thought she was pregnant at the age of 50. She said, “I started taking pregnancy tests daily,” as she was late for her period. Mark Consuelos, however, was more practical than fanatical when faced with such a situation.
He allegedly asked Ripa, “Could there be another reason why you’re not getting your period?” She said, “What other reason could there possibly be?” Ripa explained how Consuelos broke the news of menopause to her very delicately. She said, “He really had to walk on eggshells by explaining to me that I was probably going through menopause.” The Live with Kelly and Ryan host was really glad that she was not pregnant with a fourth child. It would have been very awkward for her to explain to her three adult kids that they could have another sibling soon.
The American TV personality is very vocal about her s*x life
Ripa has been very vocal about her intense s*x life with her husband, Mark Consuelos. In the book, there is even a full chapter about the things the couple does in their bedroom. Ripa mentioned in an interview that she issued a warning at the start of that chapter that covers her s*x life. She said that she urged her readers who are related to her in any way personally, to skip that chapter. She said,
“My kids never want to think of us in any sort of intimate way whatsoever. That’s why in that one chapter, I was like, ‘If you are related to us in any way, I urge you to skip over this.’”
Kelly Ripa was in the headlines last week as well. On New Year’s eve specials live broadcast, her co-host Ryan Seacrest allegedly got snubbed by her friend Andy Cohen. Ripa allegedly took Cohen’s side on air which has allegedly created a rift between the two co-hosts.
