“I was a little girl”: Kirsten Dunst Hated Kissing 31-Year-Old Brad Pitt in Tom Cruise’s $223M Movie
Intimate scenes often become a part of the controversy. The intimate scene between Kirsten Dunst who played a 10-year-old girl in Tom Cruise’ movie with 31-year-old Brad Pitt was a significant topic of discussion when the movie came out.
Although it wasn’t a heated scene that the co-stars were a part of, Kirsten Dunst a 12-year-old actress had to kiss Brad Pitt who was 19 years older than her. They starred in a movie adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel Interview With the Vampire in which the actress being a little girl had a profoundly awkward moment.
Kirsten Dunst Loathed Kissing Co-Star Brad Pitt
Kirsten Dunst is an incredibly talented actress who stepped into the world of entertainment when she was just a 6-year-old child. Since then Dunst has been a part of some notable films with A-list actors like Bruce Willis, Tom Hanks, and Brad Pitt. However, her experience of kissing Pitt during a scene was exceptionally ungraceful.
The Spider-Man star was just a 12-year-old girl when she was cast as a 10-year-old Claudia in Interview With the Vampire alongside 31-year-old Brad Pitt who played Louis a 200-year-old vampire. In a 2021 interview with Vanity Fair Dunst opened up about her experience and said:
“That was the worst thing I did and also having obviously to kiss Brad Pitt at that point. I was a little girl and he was like a brother to me and it was very weird even though it was a peck. I was very not into it.”
Even though Dunst was treated like a princess on the set as she was just a little girl, the scene where she had to bite Brad Bitt’s neck and kiss him was something she never encountered. The moment became highly embarrassing for the actress as the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star was an elder brother to her and labeled it as “gross” and “weird”.

Since Kirsten Dunst started her career as a child actress, she’s been in quite renowned movies like Spider-Man, Little Woman, and Mona Lisa Smile. The actress is now a well-established and acclaimed 41-year-old star who helped Cailee Spaeny secure the lead role as Priscilla Presley in Sofia Coppola’s film about Elvis’ wife. Spaeny told Page Six:
“I auditioned for the casting department, and they had some interest in me for a few years, Kristen Dunst put a good word in for me.”
The Marie Antoinette star has filmed more than two movies with Coppola and her new film titled Priscilla which premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on September 4. It also features Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, 26, as Elvis alongside Spaeny. In an interview with Screen Rant Cailee Spaeny along with Elordi shared her thoughts and experience filming Priscilla. The actress talked about how filming the Rock and Roll icon’ wife’s different stages in life gave her a notable experience.
