In a report back in 2014, it was confirmed by the actor himself that he has been banned for life from playing blackjack at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. And here’s why.
Ben Affleck Was Banned from The Blackjack Tables in Las Vegas
The 50-year-old actor, Ben Affleck in the summer of 2014, was reported to be banned from playing blackjack at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. He confirmed that it was a real fact!
“That is a true story. I mean, that took place.”
He shared at the time,
“And once I became decent, the casinos asked me not to play blackjack. I mean, the fact that being good at the game is against the rules at the casinos should tell you something about casinos.”
He was in Sin City with his former wife Jennifer Garner when a security guard came to him and stated that he was “too good at the game.”
He shared that he was allowed to play other games, however, blackjack was not allowed.
“I wish I could say they were afraid of me in every capacity, but they only said, “No blackjack.'”
The source told that the casino treated him with great hospitality even though counting cards is looked down upon by Vegas casinos.
Ben Affleck Reportedly Got Stingy With His Now-Wife, Jennifer Lopez
A former casino employee, J. Nguyen, claimed that the couple, especially Ben Affleck was criticized for being “rude” to other casino patrons.
The ex-casino dealer took to Tiktok (in a now-deleted video) and shared,
“Ben Affleck has one of the worst reputations in the casino industry. “We hate him. He’s cheap [and] rude to other players.”
For the unversed, tipping in casinos is a common polite etiquette a customer does in return for their assistance. It is another way to supplement casino dealers’ income, just like tips in restaurants. Being a stalwart blackjack player, he must be aware of it. Not just him, his now-wife, Jennifer Lopez was also slammed by Nguyen for being “stingy,” adding, “[Lopez] tells [Affleck] not to tip.”
Not just that, other staff as per her claims have also seen the unpleasant behavior of the couple. Meanwhile, they are trying their best to make their marriage work amid the numerous divorce rumors.
