“I would confirm that it was romantic”: Megan Fox Clarifies She Had Real Feelings For Shia LaBeouf, Claims Things Got ‘Foxy’ While Kissing Transformers Co-Star
Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf had quite a sizzling on-screen chemistry in the two Transformers films that they co-starred in. Rumors of something brewing between the two had been around all the while even though Fox was already engaged to Brian Austin Green during the filming. Both Fox and LaBeouf were merely 20 when they were shooting the first Transformers film, which was released in 2007. And several confessions prove that the Jennifer’s Body actress might have been disloyal to her fiancée by harboring romantic feelings for another man.
Megan Fox did love Shia LaBeouf at a time
Megan Fox was asked during an interview with E! News about her favorite on-screen kiss, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actress replied in a split second with the name, “Shia LaBeouf.”
On yet another appearance on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live in 2018, Fox did not hesitate to admit that there was a romantic involvement between her and Shia LaBeouf during the time of their filming. She said, “I mean I would confirm that it was romantic… I love him. I have never been really quiet about that, I love him.”
Even though the confession took place years later, and to no avail, as the actress was married to Green at that point, fans who used to ship the two were simply happy at their instinct being on point.
Shia LaBeouf had agreed to the romantic involvement over a decade ago
However, Fox’s statement was not a shocker in any sense as the Fury actor had admitted to dating his gorgeous costar back in 2011 itself. In an interview with Decider, he had agreed to whatever the speculations had been suggesting for a long time.
“Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them. I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen.”
On being asked about how Fox was engaged at the time and thus their involvement poses a moral conundrum, the Pieces of a Woman actor said, “I don’t know, man. I don’t know. I don’t know [repeated 12 times]. It was what it was.”
The young couple had real chemistry, and they were a fan-favorite ship in their time. However, clearly the flame fizzled as the Till Death actress ended up getting re-engaged with Green a year after breaking up in 2009. The couple went on to have 3 kids and was married for a good 10 years before Fox left him for good and got together with Machine Gun Kelly, to who she is currently engaged as well, but yet again there have been rumors of trouble in paradise.
