After recovering from the life-threatening snow plow accident, Jeremy Renner has made a comeback to acting with all positive vibes and excitement for resuming work. While some actors like Scarlett Johnsson chose to retire from the MCU, Renner isn’t ready to let go of his iconic role.

Among the six original and fan-favorite Avengers is Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, whom the actor is still enthusiastic to play if the superhero world wants him. The North Country star suffered severe injuries and broken bones last year while trying to save a family member. Unfortunately, a large snow plow ran him over, causing disbalance and resulting in a deadly fall.

Jeremy Renner Expresses Thoughts on Resprising Hawkeey in The MCU After Snow Plow Accident

Unlike Scarlett Johansson who chose to abandon the Marvel Cinematic Universe after playing the major role of Black Widow or Natasha Romanoff, her co-star Jeremy Renner has expressed thoughts on reprising his iconic role of Hawkeye in the superhero world. The actor took almost a year to recover and is still facing certain back issues, but Renner’s enthusiasm about getting back to Marvel is undeniably marvelous.

Soon after Scarlett Johansson was introduced as Natasha in Iron Man 2, the character received immense commendation and popularity. Following her debut film, we saw Black Widow in every major film including Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, for which the character wasn’t initially slated, but due to high demand, the makers included Johasson’s character. Her exit from the franchise after Black Widow’s release is still a sore spot for fans.

However, unlike Johansson, her co-star Jeremy Renner didn’t plan to abandon the MCU despite struggling with immense pain and undergoing surgeries. The actor is enthusiastic about playing Hawkeye and wouldn’t refuse if the makers want to cast him. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the actor said:

“I’m always game. I’m gonna be strong enough, that’s for sure. I’ll be ready. All those guys come to my bedside and they’ve been with me all along through this recovery, so… if they want me, they could have me. It would be something.”

Considering Renner’s words, the superhero world can expect him to return as the bow-wielding superhero, and it could even draw fans’ attention after they have been missing the original Avengers like Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Chris Evans‘ Captain America, and Johansson’s Black Widow a lot. However, the character arcs concluded in the best way possible, which even the actors who played the roles have often agreed upon.

In the same conversation, Jeremy Renner talked about being grateful for recovering from the brutal accident and mentioned that despite all the challenges he has encountered, he doesn’t plan to stop. The Wind River star can accomplish almost everything he wants and said:

“[I’m doing] probably 90 percent of all the things I needed to be doing… I think another six months will be hopefully running [more]… I got to set goals for myself. I’ll do whatever I can… whatever it takes to get better, to get stronger.”

While explaining his journey and goals, Renner added:

“It’s a one-way street, this recovery. The rest of my life is about health and wellness. Recovery will be part of the rest of my life, so I look forward to it, man. There’s always something to do to get better, be stronger, be happier, be healthier, and that’s what I look forward to.”

The Tag star also talked about his first Super Bowl ad for silk almond milk, and interestingly, Jeremy Renner majorly relied on silk almond milk during his recovery. And now that he’s involved in the ad for the same thing that helped him for a year, the actor was intrigued by the project.
