“I’ll keep accepting it”: Ana de Armas Ready to Return for Another Chris Evans Movie Despite ‘Ghosted’ Called Worst Movie of the Year

Chris Evans and Ana de Armas reunited in the action-romance film Ghosted, which began streaming on Apple TV+ on April 21, 2023, after collaborating on the films The Gray Man and Knives Out. It is the kind of large-scale production that depends on the popularity of its two major movie stars to succeed or fail. After Scarlett Johansson amicably left the project due to ongoing schedule conflicts, actress Ana De Armas officially replaced Johansson in Dexter Fletcher’s film “Ghosted.”

When Chris Evans and Ana de Armas first met on the set of “Knives Out,” they “clicked.” She recently stated that as long as Evans calls her, she will continue to play the opposite of him.

“He was the one who invited me to this film. So, if he keeps calling me, I’ll keep accepting it!” said the ‘No Time To Die‘ actress.

In “Ghosted,” the two appear in their third film together, and the “Blonde” actress finds it simple to maintain on-screen chemistry with her co-star because they share a sincere bond.

Ana earlier told The Hollywood Reporter at the New York City premiere of ‘Ghosted‘ on Tuesday (18.04.23): “We genuinely liked each other and we’re just very easygoing people, both of us, and we’re just very transparent.”

“It’s not a relationship that you have to work hard to maintain. The friendship is there. It’s like chemistry onscreen, it’s there or it’s not.”

The 34-year-old actress said: “That’s why I also wanted to do this movie, because that kind of dynamic, we’ve never had on the screen and I wanted to enjoy that with Chris, not only in real life but also on film.”

After three films together, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas’ bond is still going strong.

In 2019’s Knives Out, where he played the antagonist to her naive protagonist, the pair first appeared together on screen. On the set of the Russo brothers’ The Gray Man (2022), where Evans once more played the antagonist opposite de Armas’ devoted sidekick character, Dani, as she assisted Ryan Gosling’s good man on the run, the two of them reconciled.

After three films together, there is still a “reliable” connection, according to Evans. “Ana de Armas is an excellent friend and a dependable professional. It always happens.” Regarding their friendship, De Armas continues, “I feel like it gets better, deeper.”

What is ‘Ghosted’ All About?

The Apple TV Plus original Ghosted makes an effort to juggle comedy, romance, and action, but it largely falls flat on all counts. In the film, Chris Evans plays an average Joe who falls in love with Ana de Armas, a mystery woman, only to discover that she is a secret spy. It’s so horrifyingly bad that it practically qualifies as avant-garde. It was made with utter scorn for the standard cinema fare and is head-shaking haphazard in every way.
