Henry Cavill Sparks Speculation Rumors With Respect To His Top Gun 3 Association
Recently, Tom Cruise made one of the biggest announcements of 2024 with respect to the third installment of Top Gun. The actor would be reprising his role in the Tony Scott-led action drama. According to the famous media outlet Daily Mail, Henry Cavill was spotted with Tom Cruise at a swanky club in London. The actor duo has sparked rumors with respect to another speculated collaboration in the form of Top Gun 3, after Mission Impossible: Fallout.
On January 9, Tom Cruise took to Instagram and posted about his partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery for the joint production and development of the original and franchise projects. The actor captioned his post as
“Excited to share this news. I look forward to making great movies together!”
The statement read as
“Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group’s Co-Chairs and CEOs Michael De Luca & Pam Abdy and Tom Cruise today announced they will jointly develop and produce original and franchise theatrical films starring Cruise in 2024 under a new strategic partnership between Cruise and Warner Bros. Discovery. Cruise and his production company will have offices on the Warner Bros. Discovery lot in Burbank.”
The statement concluded with a note from Cruise which spoke about the actor’s excitement to work with the production house, and his love for movies.
Henry Cavill Talks About His Upcoming Spy Movie Argylle
After saying goodbye to Superman and The Witcher, Henry Cavill is back with a spy movie, Argylle. In the Matthew Vaughn-directed movie, Agent Argylle is not real. Instead, he is a fictional character created by author Elly Conway. She brings her fictional character to life believing that it’s Agent Argylle who is helping her. In truth, it turns out to be Aiden Wilde, who actually helps her when she is targeted by a group of spies.
The scenes of Agent Argylle were shot both with Henry Cavill and Sam Rockwell. During an interview with the reputed media outlet Entertainment Weekly, in December 2023, Henry Cavill spoke about his upcoming spy movie and his look. While talking about filming the scenes along with Sam Rockwell, he said-
“Sam and I were watching each other and just trying to make sure that we had a similarity of movements. Certain movements worked better for him, so I would mimic those, and then different movements in other places worked better for me, so he would copy those. Fight scenes are tricky and complex, especially in a cramped space like that with lots of hard edges.”
While talking about the on-screen look of Agent Argylle, Henry Cavill said-
“That was actually Matthew’s pitch, his signature style. I wanted to have fun with it. Look, this guy’s going to have a particular look and you’ve got to trust me.’ And I did! That’s the kind of thing I was looking for. I’m glad I did it.”
To watch Henry Cavill as a spy will be no less than a treat for his fans. Argylle is set to hit the theatres on February 2, 2024.
