The Ice Age movie series remains a part of 20th Century Fox’s library of movies and animation projects, but ownership over the series has switched hands. So, what might be next for the Ice Age? With Adventures of Buck Wild, we’re back in the land where dinosaurs once roamed. And we have a new possum family having adventures there. Not the same ones from before, though. This is a brand new branch of possums that were just introduced to the Ice Age world. The Ice Age movies used to focus more on Diego and his wanderings with Sid and Manny. But this one takes place in another part of their world called the Lost World. And it doesn’t include these famous three friends that we all love as much as life itself.

With that being said, it raises a lot of questions, especially now that Disney has control over the iceship. The primary question is whether there be an Ice Age 7?
Is Ice Age 7 Happening?
There’s no definitive word on whether or not the makers will order a seventh major entry in the Ice Age franchise. However, there are multiple indications of this. In fact, the sheer popularity and online buzz indicate that not only does the team already have a lot of ideas ahead for this movie but also are working on confirming some things about its making.

With that said, taking into consideration how popular Ice Age movies are, we can assume that an Ice Age 7 will come into existence someday or the other. Animated feature films take time to develop and some of them require three or four years between their initial orders and their releases based on previous experiences with the Ice Age series. Thus, if everything goes according to plan, then we can expect an estimated arrival for Ice Age 7 sometime by early 2025 or 2026 at best.
