“Isn’t he like 30 or something?”: Leonardo DiCaprio Nearly Slept With Then 19 Year Old Mischa Barton After Brutal Gisele Bündchen Breakup That Left Brazilian Bombshell Heartbroken
The recent sighting of Leonardo DiCaprio with a 19-year-old model Eden Polani has caused a 2005 interview featuring Mischa Barton to resurface online. The Titanic star is facing a huge backlash as people are against the idea of a 48-year-old grown man dating a teen. Even though Polani is at an age that is considered legal, DiCaprio is notorious for exclusively dating women younger than 25. Therefore this situation is a huge no-no for most people.
And in Barton’s interview, she opened up about being told to sleep with the actor when she was also only 19. Even then, the actor was in his 30s at the time. He had recently become single after his split with Gisele Bündchen. And now clearly, the romantic involvement of a teen with an adult is not sitting right with the majority of people.
Mischa Barton’s 2005 Interview Resurfaces
It isn’t that surprising to see Leonardo DiCaprio dating women much younger than him as he is infamous for dating women only under 25. The actor has a history of quitting his relationships after his partner hits 25. But there is a limit to how younger a grown adult should be romantically involved with. As the Hollywood star is in his late forties currently, the recent sighting of a 19-year-old model alongside him is not being taken well by netizens. Around a week ago, the Titanic star was spotted sitting next to Eden Polani at Ebony Riley’s party. Poland is a 19-year-old Iranian model and social media influencer. Following this, DiCaprio is being flooded with backlash from the netizens. But according to Page Six, a source shared that the two are not dating.
Nevertheless, the initial shock brought back up an old interview. Back in 2005, in a Harper’s Bazaar (then Harper’s and Queen) interview, Mischa Barton revealed something along the same line. According to her, she had been 19 when her publicist had asked her to sleep with then-30-year-old DiCaprio. The actor had been available at the time as he has just ended his 5-year-long relationship with Gisele Bündchen.
But fortunately, Barton had been completely uninterested to do so. She recalled saying,
“Isn’t Leo, like, 30 or something?”
Even for the sake of her career, Barton did not give in to the advice seemingly.

In the early 2000s, Leonardo DiCaprio and his ex-Gisele Bündchen were one of the most popular couples. Also known as Gionardo, the former couple’s on-and-off relationship could not last long. For the large part, it had a lot to do with Bündchen’s issues. In an interview with Porter Magazine back in 2019, the supermodel opened up about dealing with mental health problems at the time. And additionally, her lifestyle had turned unhealthy to the point it was affecting everything. So while deciding to improve things, she also decided to quit her relationship with DiCaprio. And in 2005 the two separated on amicable terms as they shared later in the later years.
