“It didn’t have weird hulk inc-st”: Hugh Jackman’s Problematic MCU Return Could Potentially Leave Fans Traumatized Over 1 Highly-Criticized Comic Arc
- After Deadpool & Wolverine, fans want more movies featuring Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.
- They are demanding an Old Man Logan adaptation with Jackman in the future.
- However, the gory action and incest in the comic may prohibit Marvel and Disney from taking it up.
Fans never thought in their wildest dreams that Hugh Jackman would unravel his legacy as Wolverine and reprise his role after Logan wrapped up his arc beautifully. However, even he couldn’t say no to Ryan Reynolds’ relentless persuasion and eventually came on board.
Nevertheless, human greed knows no bounds. Fans are now hungry for more as they clamor for more storylines from the Logan comics to be made into movies. Jackman has already paved the way for more arcs since the mutants are not a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that has its doors open to the multiverse.
Old Man Logan comic adaptation may traumatize Hugh Jackman’s fans
After the roaring success of Deadpool & Wolverine, the Marvel fandom wants more. The mutants are finally a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the opportunities for them to pave the way for other Avengers and characters are endless. Multiple comic book arcs for Logan aka Wolverine are out there, waiting to be adapted into movies that fans can then fawn over.
Hugh Jackman’s physique and style as Logan, even at 52, is phenomenal. Ryan Reynolds even claimed that if Marvel had its way, they would make Jackman play Logan till Kingdom Come. Consequently, a debate on X emerged with users dreaming about an Old Man Logan adaptation in the future starring Jackman.
The Logan films instantly better than the comic old Man Logan because it didn’t have weird hulk incest and magneto teaming up with the red skull

Make a Logan-style Wolverine movie starring Hugh Jackman. Don’t tie it in with any cinematic universe. Have Shawn Levy direct and give him full control. Watch the box office explode.

I'm convinced most people who use the words "comic accurate" on this app don't actually read comics. Definitely haven't read this one if they think Disney will touch it with a ten foot pole.

The abovementioned comic features our beloved Hulk in a completely different avatar as he acts as the main archenemy of Logan in the story. Their rivalry is legendary in the comic book world with epic punches and even more iconic dialogue. Attack after attack, their equation bitters over time, resulting in one of the most exciting comic book arcs.
What happens in Old Man Logan?
The comic book series Old Man Logan is set in Earth-807128, a world where the villains overpowered the mighty superheroes. This alternate version of Logan is strong but old. He is able to fight with all his strength even though his age has advanced, unlike the Logan we all know who does not age and keeps regenerating.
In this universe, Bruce Banner is not the mild-mannered scientist we all know and love. Rather, he is an angry and agitated man because of the gamma radiation. While he transforms into his complete Hulk avatar, Banner has relations with his cousin Jennifer Walters who is the She-Hulk to produce a number of children he later deems Hulk Gang.
Wolverine eventually goes on to fight this entire gang of inbred Hulks who possess similar powers and abilities. The entire story features immense violence and countless ways in which the green beast tortures and tries to kill Wolverine to no avail. With Deadpool & Wolverine, Marvel Studios finally made an R-rated movie, but for an Old Man Logan adaptation, they would have to go beyond the foul language and actually incorporate gory action scenes to truly do justice to the story.
