“It wasn’t super special”: Angus Cloud Didn’t Remember Meeting Zendaya For the First Time Before Working Together in ‘Euphoria’
Angus Cloud popularly known as Fezco from HBO’s Euphoria died at his Oakland residence on July 31, 2023. The 25-year-old actor came into prominence after playing the character of Fez in the teen drama. According to the recent developments on the unfortunate news, the late actor’s mother called the Oakland Police Department on 911 after finding Angus Cloud in an unconscious state and reported a possible overdose.
The actor was possibly dealing with the death of his father, which happened a week prior. According to a source close to him, his father was buried in Ireland and the family had just come back to their Oakland home from Ireland. The untimely demise of the actor has left everyone shocked and devastated. His fans took to social media and reacted to the unfortunate news. The exact reason for his death is not yet known.
Euphoria Star Angus Cloud On Meeting Zendaya
Angus Cloud became a popular name with his excellent performance in the Sam Levinson-directed teen drama Euphoria. He portrayed the character of Fezco, a local drug dealer in the famous show. During an interview with one of the reputed media outlets Rolling Stone, The North Hollywood star had spoken about his firsts-from quitting his first job to buying his first album which was Snoop Dogg. On being asked about his reaction on the first time meeting the Malcolm And Marie actor Zendaya, the late actor recalled-
“I don’t quite recall. It wasn’t like a super special memory, but she was cool with that smile.”
He further continued-
“As my family knife, the First time I am, I place it was so nice to meet you”
The late actor recounted his meeting with the Spider-Man actor and was totally untouched by the stardom of his co-star. The star-studded cast of Euphoria included actors like- Jacob Elordi, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Lucas Gage, Storm Reid, and Javon Walton.
Euphoria Family Mourns At The Death Of The Beloved Star Angus Cloud
Angus Cloud’s news of death was confirmed by the media outlet TMZ first. According to the statement released by the late actor’s family-
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”
The late Euphoria star was open about his struggles with his frail mental health. According to an insider close to the actor, the 25-year-old was dealing with the loss of his father, Conor Hickey, who died after a short illness on May 18. 2023. The entire team of Euphoria mourned his death and poured their heart out on social media.
Lukas Gage was one of the first from the Euphoria team to react to the unfortunate news. He had posted a story on Instagram and captioned it as-
“Rip @anguscloud” with a broken heart emoji.
According to a statement obtained by the entertainment outlet Deadline, director Sam Lewinson mentioned-
“There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented, and way too young to leave us so soon. He also struggled, like many of us, with addiction and depression. I hope he knew how many hearts he touched. I loved him. I always will. Rest in peace and God Bless his family.”
