“It would be a terrible snub”: Meghan Markle Reportedly Convinced Prince Harry to Attend King Charles’ Coronation Out of Fear of Losing Royal Titles
The couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have always ended up making a roar in the British royal family. After permanently stepping down from their roles as senior working royals, the duo has continued to take shots at their family. Due to their actions, they have often garnered negative criticism leading to them being least favored in their royal kingdom.

Now that everyone is aware of their social status in the royal family, many were wondering if the duo would appear in King Charles III’s anticipated coronation ceremony. The answer is already out to the public!
Prince Harry Will Attend His Father, King Charles III’s Coronation Ceremony
Ever since, King Charles’s coronation ceremony is the talk of the town, many were speculating the reasons whether the Sussex couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would attend the ceremony or not. As per Reuters, the latter would be present in the next month’s event in the UK.
The royal coronation ceremony dates back over 1000 years and is scheduled to take place on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey in London. The ceremony will be surrounded by foreign heads of state and dignitaries in which the King will be crowned alongside his wife, Camilla, the Queen Consort.
The Buckingham Palace spokesperson stated to confirm the Duke of Sussex’s arrival at the upcoming event.
“Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey.”
While he is confirmed to be arriving at his father’s coronation, his wife will remain in California with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. But a royal expert has commented on a theory about the Duke’s presence at the event has something to do with his wife.
Meghan Markle Persuaded Her Husband, Prince Harry to Attend The Coronation
As per reports by Mirror, a royal expert has commented that his decision to go alone in the coronation ceremony was not easy however it might have something to do with his wife.
He shared, “I suspect Meghan was the driving force in persuading Harry to attend.”
Be it coincidence or anything else, their son, Archie’s fourth birthday falls on the same day as the King’s coronation. They’re together as an emotional unit so it would have been quite difficult for the Prince to attend even on his own. However, it was clear that they could not afford to create further trouble for the royal family as it might end up backfiring them.
“The invitation clearly says, ‘By Command of the King’. Harry was in the military and his allegiance is to his King. The King also happens to be his father.”
The expert continued,
“For all his bravado Harry knows that if he didn’t appear it would be a terrible snub. He might have been cut off for ever and brand Sussex couldn’t afford to lose the royal fairy dust.
They have already left no stone unturned to throw shade on the royal family with their docuseries and his memoir, Spare. It could be a calculative move as Markle, who is a smart woman as per the expert may have persuaded her husband regarding the same. Had they missed this event, it might have affected their future in a great way.
