It has been revealed that the very famous Kardashian-Jenner clan has been barred from attending the 2023 Met Gala. The event’s guest list was reportedly missing the Kardashian-Jenner family. However, a source close to the family has revealed that this is a lie and they are invited. If they are actually not invited then for the first time in 10 years, Kim Kardashian will not be able to flaunt her fancy outfit at the event.
As per sources, this has made her “embarrassed” and she was reportedly excited to showcase her outfit at the event. Last year, the socialite hit the red carpet in singer Marilyn Monroe’s legendary dress and it was revealed that she damaged the iconic dress.
The Kardashian-Jenner family is not invited to Met Gala 2023
Every year, the Met Gala raises money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and a lot of well-known faces of the entertainment industry attend the event showcasing their fancy outfits. As per sources, Vogue boss Anna Wintour filtered 2023’s Met Gala’s guest list and the Kardashian-Jenner clan was reportedly not invited. A source said,
“It’s been embarrassing for everyone involved but Kim is still excited and has already been working with a top fashion house to design a custom look for the night.”
Kim Kardashian first attended the event back in 2013 with her then-husband Kanye West while she was pregnant with their first child. She has attended every Met Gala event since then.

Despite several reports claiming that the Kardashian-Jenner clan is debarred from the event, a source close to the family has stated that they are invited and these rumors are false,
“While invites have now officially been sent out and Kim has been confirmed, the news leak about her possibly not getting an invite did see tensions run high behind the scenes in what has been a big misunderstanding.”

Kim Kardashian reportedly ruined Marilyn Monroe’s dress
In 2022, Kim Kardashian stunned the entertainment industry after she walked the Met Gala’s red carpet in legendary singer Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress. She reportedly went through an extreme weight loss before fitting into the dress as it could not be altered. However, the actual trouble started after the event.
Scott Fortner, who works to authenticate and verify Marilyn Monroe’s memorabilia, claimed that there was permanent damage done to the dress. He shared some photographs on his Instagram page to show what appeared to be a stretched and buckled fabric as well as missing crystals on the back of the dress. The socialite, however, claimed that she had the dress on only for three minutes implying that it is impossible that she ruined the dress.
