Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is a popular English singer and songwriter. She began her singing career after graduating from high school in 2006 when she signed her first record deal with XL Recordings. On January 28, 2008, XL launched her commercial debut album, 19, which included the UK top-five singles Chasing Pavements and Make You Feel My Love. In the U.K., it sold over 2.5 million copies and was ranked as one of the top 20 best-selling debut albums of all time. Adele, without a doubt, possesses a tremendous voice and is a singing dynamo. Her voice can range from baritone to soprano.
Who is Chris Stapleton?
Adele performed Even If It Hadn’t Been for Love, a song co-written by Chris Stapleton and first released by his band the SteelDrivers, and she chose to include the song in the Bonus Editions of her 2011 hit album 21. She was awarded Best Short Form Music Video, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year; her album was a massive hit at the time. Adele revealed in her 2021 interview for the Rolling Stone cover story that she is a huge fan of Chris Stapleton’s voice. “Basically, I’ve been a fan of him since SteelDriver days,” she stated. “I’ve been covering the Steelers for nearly 12 years.” “It’s just… his voice is just f**king brilliant.”
Chris Stapleton, one of the most popular guitarists of his time, gave up his education to follow his musical passion. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades and awards, including Grammys, the Country Music Award, and the Aamongg, and has been adored by millions of his fans. Taylor Swift, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, and other musicians have all performed his songs.
He has accumulated writing and co-writing credits for more than 170 songs as of 2018. Recently, he kicked off the opening act for Super Bowl LVII in 2023 by playing the national anthem. Through his music, millions of people discovered Stapleton, including many in the country music industry who simply hadn’t given the up-and-coming artist the respect he deserved at the time. Even though he was competing against some of the biggest names in the field, the world took notice of his performance because of the way pop, R&B, and country was blended together.
Adele discusses SteelDrivers singer Chris Stapleton’s voice: His voice is just so amazing
Adele’s bonus versions of her album 30, including the lead single Easy on Me, were recorded as a collaborative effort with Stapleton. It was released by Columbia Records on November 19, 2021, and is inspired by Adele’s divorce, motherhood, fame, and heartbreak and conveys themes of acceptance and hope. The Skyfall vocalist approached the singer, and he was willing to do anything, but travel restrictions prevented them from meeting and recording in person at first.
“We hadn’t met yet because it was during the pandemic,” Adele explains. She continued,
“We had to restart Zoom. It was catastrophic. Yes, it’s on there, and I believe our voices complement each other wonderfully. He’s the one person to whom I would have always said yes, like 100%.”
Adele was recently seen cheering for Rihanna from the sidelines at the 2023 Super Bowl in Arizona on Feb. 12 during the pop star’s highly anticipated halftime show. She even told Page Six that she would just go for the singer and that she didn’t care about anything else.
