The heat comes after Kelly Ripa called out her late Live co-host Regis Philbin’s sexist behavior. Kathie Lee Gifford and Regis Philbin hosted a show together as well and called him the”best partner” earlier this month. So that explains why she dissed Ripa’s latest book.

One week after Kathie Lee Gifford dissed Kelly Ripa‘s book, the author had a few words to say. She believes that Gifford’s comments only gave her book more “attention.” The author of Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories said,
“I am a person that tends to take a negative and turn it into a positive. It’s really hard to sell a book, right? … So my ultimate comment is, ‘Thank you.'”
The actress/TV personality had a simple reply to Kathie Lee Gifford’s diss about her book. She handled the situation maturely. Fans speculate that Gifford’s criticism came due to Ripa’s sexism allegations against Regis Philbin.

The author alleged in her book that Regis Philbin referred to her as “it” and cleared up the “basic misconception” that the two were friends outside of work. However, Kathie Lee Gifford had different views about Philbin. Regis Philbin died in July 2020 at the age of 88.

She clearly stated that she will not read her book because she feels that Ripa is making Philbin look like a terrible person.
