“I’ve been in love with you, but now everyone is”: Kelly Ripa’s Heartfelt Confession For Ryan Seacrest on His Final ‘Live’ Episode

In the past months, Ryan Seacrest’s departure from the talk show Live! as a co-host has been up in the air constantly. And it makes sense as out of all her previous co-hosts Ripa seems to be closest to Seacrest. And recently, in the last episode of the show, Ripa gave a lovely farewell to the radio host.

She expressed how everybody including her had fallen in love with Seacrest throughout his time as a co-host on Live! He decided to exit the show back in February to take on the position of the host for the new season of American Idol.

Kelly Ripa Gives Ryan Seacrest A Loving and Emotional Farewell

On Ryan Seacrest’s last appearance on Live! with Kelly and Ryan, he received a teary farewell. Seacrest’s longtime friend and co-host Kelly Ripa expressed how she felt about the decision of him leaving the show. Even Ripa’s husband Mark Consuelos shared in an interview that the farewell was going to be saddening and he asked people to bring “tissues”.

According to her, viewers and everyone on the show had fallen for the radio host’s charisma. Talking about it Ripa said,

“I’ve been in love with you, but now everyone is in love with you,” 

Moreover, Ripa also revealed how she had grown accustomed to looking at her co-host’s face every morning since they joined.

For those unversed, the radio host joined Live back in 2017 replacing Michael Strahan. In total Seacrest has appeared for six seasons as the co-host alongside Ripa. And in those years the two have visibly struck a good friendship and are much closer as compared to other co-hosts.

More on Ryan Seacrest’s Departure From Live!

After six seasons of working on ABC’s Live! Ryan Seacrest announced his decision to exit the show in February this year. According to him, his initial plan was only 3 years to work as a co-host on the talk show. However, he decided to extend the contract further up to 3 more years. And therefore it seems like it was time for him to leave and move back to Los Angeles. he shared the announcement saying,

“I’ve been grateful to be able to share a cup of coffee with our viewers every day, one of the best parts of the gig.”

Moreover, he also seems to have many other futures which mostly involve his “passion for food” as per TMZ. It was reported by the publication that he is venturing out into the olive oil Business. Furthermore, he is also hosting the 21st season of American Idol.
