The actor is known for her no-filter attitude in Hollywood. She has always been very vocal about body shaming, her projects, her co-stars, and even motherhood. The X-Men star is married to the art gallery director of New York City’s Gladstone Gallery Cooke Maroney and the couple gave welcomed their son Cy in February 2022. Jennifer Lawrence recently made a comeback after embracing motherhood with the 2023 movie No Hard Feelings on Netflix.

Jennifer Lawrence Hasn’t Visited Church In Ages

During her appearance on Conan O’Brien hosted Conan the Hunger Games actor mentioned about one of the major letdowns she had received in her career when she had just started off with the famous American television series Monk. The actor said-

“For the Monk episode, there was Emily J. and Emily C. — I thought I was going to play Emily C. So this one girl that’s in [my] church goes, ‘I’m gonna be playing Emily J. On Monk,’ and I go, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to play Emily C., this is great!'”

Later, it turned out that Jennifer Lawrence was not offered the role she had been expecting to get. She further added-

“[Turns] out I’m not playing that part — I’m playing the mascot. And so everybody watched it after I told them that I’m going to have this great, huge part and I was just the mascot — and I’ve never been back to church since.”

On making a comeback after embracing motherhood, Jennifer Lawrence recently spoke to Good Morning America about how she was convinced to do the R-rated No Hard Feelings. She said-

“I had just had a baby, so I definitely wasn’t planning on working, and I just, I read the script, and it was just too funny. It was the funniest thing I had ever read. It’s busy, but focused and streamlined. I don’t take on anything that I can’t personally read every draft of and give notes on.”

The movie revolves around how the parents of a socially awkward child hire Jennifer Lawrence to teach him about the ways of life before he starts college. The movie has got mixed reviews from the audience- where some were all praises for the actor’s performance in the movie, while others were offended by the content of the film.

Jennifer Lawrence On Motherhood

During an interview with the media outlet Independent, actor Jennifer Lawrence spoke about motherhood. The 32-year-old actor went on to speak about the difficulties and challenges a woman has to go through when she is expecting. She pointed out that every pregnancy is different and it varies from one woman to another woman. 

 The Red Sparrow actor mentioned-

“It’s so scary to talk about motherhood. Only because it’s so different for everybody. If I say, It was amazing from the start, some people will think, ‘It wasn’t amazing for me at first, and feel bad.’ Fortunately, I have so many girlfriends who were honest. Who were like, ‘It’s scary. You might not connect right away. You might not fall in love right away.’ So I felt so prepared to be forgiving.”

While talking about juggling motherhood and her acting career, the actor clarified-

“I made the movie right before I got married and then we had the pandemic. Two years later, I’m pregnant, we go back, and we make the rest of it.”

The Passengers actor welcomed her son Cy in 2022. Currently, the actor is looking forward to enjoying her life as a mother. She made her comeback with Gene Stupnitsky’s directed No Hard Feeling in 2023.
