Toni Collette refused to take the help of an intimacy coordinator

Talking with The Times, Toni Collette has disclosed that there have been times when she is very comfortable with the co-star while shooting intimate scenes. However, the intimacy coordinator, whose presence is supposed to make her feel at ease, only made her feel otherwise. For the same reason, she has even asked a few intimacy coordinators to even leave the set.

Speaking about this Collette said,

“I think it’s only been a couple of times where they’ve been brought in, and I have very much trusted and felt at ease with the people I was working with. It just felt like those people who were brought in to make me feel more at ease were making me feel more anxious. They weren’t helping, so I asked them to leave.”

Toni Collette also talked about the difference in the work environment and also cleared out that her stand on intimacy coach is due to her known experience and personal feelings about the situations. Collette also expressed gratitude towards all the people who have been very respectful and professional in their work.

“Every single job is different. Because it’s a bunch of new people it’s a new energy; everyone brings their whole life with them, and it’s all thrown in the pot. I’ve been very fortunate in that I’ve only worked with a few ar*eholes over the several decades that I’ve managed to keep this boat afloat.”

Despite this feeling of Toni Collette, many other celebrities have a different and opposite take on intimacy coordinators.

Intimacy Coordinators: A Varied perspective of different actors

Intimacy coordinators are crew members who are brought on to the set to facilitate and oversee intimate scenes involving actors. As intimacy coordinators, these professionals ensure the mental and physical well-being of the actors.

While talking about this previously Kate Winslet said that she wished that an intimacy coordinator was there to help her out during her time. She also said that the presence of these coordinators would have saved her from a lot of over-enthusiastic co-stars during her past performance.
