Sydney Sweeney appreciates being a part of ‘powerhouse of badass females’

Sydney Sweeney recently highlighted how her co-stars are all women in an interview with Total Film magazine, saying that she is looking toward being a part of a powerful female group. When the time came, she expressed that she “couldn’t be more excited” and “can’t wait to be able to talk about it” more candidly.

Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, and actress Dakota Johnson are also featured in Madame Web. Sweeney continued by thanking the actresses and expressing her gratitude for the fantastic opportunity.

“I can’t wait to be able to be next to the girls that I filmed with – Dakota and Isabela, and Celeste. We had so much fun together. And I’m really excited that it’s just gonna be a powerhouse of badass females for the world to see.”

‘Superheroes have been my entire life’: Sydney Sweeney

The actress talked about how Superheroes had influenced her life in other parts of the interview because her parents would only watch that. She made light of the fact that she was only 10 years old in 2008, the year that the MCU’s Iron Man debuted, and quipped that she has seen more comic book movies than she can remember.

The actress added,

“Superheroes have been my entire life! Those [films] are all my parents ever wanted to go see. I think I’ve seen The Avengers probably 20, 30-plus times. My family, they love [them]… I could not have made them happier choosing to do that project [Madame Web].”

Sydney Sweeney excited about Anyone But You alongside Glen Powell

Anyone But You is one of the highly awaited romantic-comedy movies of the year as it stars Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell in the titular roles. In a recent interview with People magazine, the actress shared that filming the rom-com was a completely different experience for her in comparison to her recent release, Reality.

She said,

“It was just laughter 24-7. Literally, we were just having a great time every day. It was a really, really fun experience.” Sweeney added, “I enjoyed it a lot. … I’m excited for it to come out”.

Glen Powell shared at the CinemaCon 2023 that the story revolves around two people who hate each other, explaining that Sweeney plays a character who is an absolute nightmare whereas he plays someone who is an a**hole.
