Jamie Foxx Had a Surprising Reaction to Kissing “Jay Z’s Girl” Beyonce
The chemistry between co-stars frequently takes center stage in the arena of celebrity intrigue, generating headlines and picking audiences’ interest. Few personalities in Hollywood are as well-known as Jamie Foxx and Beyoncé Knowles, who are both praised for their enormous skill and captivating on-screen presence.
However, when these two formidable actors had a moment on screen that included an unexpected kiss, it captured the attention of many. We’ll look at Jamie Foxx’s surprising response to sharing a kiss with none other than Beyoncé.
Jamie Foxx Didn’t Like Kissing Beyoncé Knowles
After their joint appearance in the 2006 film Dreamgirls, Jamie Foxx openly discussed his on-screen kiss with Beyoncé, revealing that it didn’t hold the allure one might expect. While many might consider sharing a kiss with Beyoncé a dream come true, Foxx’s perspective was different. He admitted that the experience was less enjoyable for him, largely due to the fact that Beyoncé was already in a committed relationship at the time. This unexpected reaction from Foxx added an intriguing layer of complexity to their on-screen chemistry and left fans with much to ponder about the dynamics on set.
The actor delivered a stand-up performance in 2007 at Madison Square Garden as part of his Unpredictable show, during which he discussed Beyoncé and explained why he didn’t like kissing her in Dreamgirls. He didn’t like filming the moment with Beyoncé because, in the actor’s words, he thought of her as “Jay-Z’s girl.” He said that during the on-screen lip-lock, “Jiggg-aaah!” was all he could hear in his thoughts. The fact that Foxx and the singer managed to make their on-screen romance look plausible despite not liking their kissing sequence with Beyoncé is all that truly counts.
Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones Join Forces to Portray True Events
In the movie The Burial, actors Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones will portray actual occurrences. Recently, the two actors talked about working together and what they liked most about the plot. According to People magazine, The Burial, which will make its international premiere on September 11 at the Toronto International Film Festival, is based on the true account of Jeremiah Joseph O’Keefe’s legal battle with the Loewen Group, a Canadian funeral home corporation, as reported by The New Yorker.
When asked about his involvement in The Burial, Jamie Foxx, who also served as a co-producer for the drama, shared that he was drawn to it because it’s “a great American story.” He went on to mention, “We actually heard about this project probably 15 years ago. So it tells you how projects can be special. You heard about it 15 years ago, but now, everything lines up.” Lee Jones portrays Mississippi funeral director Jeremiah O’Keefe, who is forced to sell some of his company to a company that is quickly acquiring cemeteries, funeral homes, and insurance firms in order to capitalize on what its CEO, Ray Loewen portrayed by Bill Camp, describes to as the golden age of death owing to debts.
