Jennifer Garner’s Deleted Elektra Scene Might Bring Back Ben Affleck to Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are starring in Marvel’s Deadpool 3 and Jackman is donning the iconic yellow suit from the comic books, as the first images from the film have just been released, and die-hard fans of the series can’t get enough of it. Kevin Feige, Marvel Chief, had previously stated that the third installment of the well-known franchise would be the first MCU film to receive an R rating.
Recent reports claimed that a character who the audience had almost forgotten would make a return nearly after 20 years in Deadpool 3. The exciting news of this character returning has made fans happy and curious about how is it going to work.

Jennifer Garner to reprise Elektra for Deadpool 3
According to sources, actress Jennifer Garner, who portrayed the character of Elektra in the 2003 film Daredevil, starring her ex-husband Ben Affleck as the Man Without Fear, is going to appear in Deadpool 3.
Daredevil turned out to be a modest hit at the box office at the time; less than what the makers had expected but Garner went on to star in a solo movie titled Elektra two years later which, just like Daredevil, did not perform the way it was expected. But Garner was highly appreciated by ardent fans as she was one of the few women to lead a studio comic book movie at the time.
Talking about her involvement in Deadpool 3 is not clear as of now, but sources have hinted that it could be some sort of multiverse angle to the movie which means that there are chances for other characters from the Marvel Universe that appeared in movies made by Fox to appear in the movie. However, it cannot be ignored that in Daredevil, Garner’s Elektra died at the hands of Bullseye, played by Colin Farell.

Jennifer Garner’s wish to work with Kevin Feige
Back in 2021, the actress spoke to The Hollywood Reporter where she mentioned that she wished both of her movies, 2003’s Daredevil and Elektra, were produced by Marvel Chief Kevin Feige as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“It’s such a shame, honestly, because once Kevin took over everything there was elevated: the writing, the direction, the comedy inside of the stories they were telling. And I did not have that experience.”
Well her prayers have been answered as she gears up to appear in Deadpool 3 which will also reunite her with Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy on Deadpool 3, having previously collaborated with them on the science fiction movie The Adam Project. However, there has been no confirmation from the actress about reprising Elektra.
Will Ben Affleck return as Daredevil in Deadpool 3?
Fans have been curious about one thing, which is, if Garner’s Elektra is expected to return as a part of Marvel’s Deadpool 3, does that mean that Ben Affleck is also expected to make a return as Daredevil in the same movie?
Some people pointed out that just like how MCU offered a satisfying goodbye or conclusion of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s versions of the character, the makers could offer the same for Elektra and fans could see her and Matt Murdock together once again, especially after the deleted scene was released in which Elekta dreams of Murdock asking her to come back to him in Hell’s Kitchen and tells her that he will wait for her and just before they embrace each other, Elektra wakes up.
The resurfacing of the deleted scene on the internet had once again given the audience hope for Marvel preparing to conclude the storyline of Elektra in the way it should have; with Matt Murdock.
The plot of Deadpool 3 has not been revealed completely, but from what has been heard, the movie is based on the idea of a Multiversal road trip buddy cop adventure between Wade Wilson and Wolverine. Amidst this, it would be interesting to see how Elektra and Daredevil fit in and whether Affleck gets on board with the idea or not.
Deadpool 3 comes to theaters on May 3, 2024.
