Johnny Depp Celebrates Trial Win By Splurging on Grand Buffet of Indian Delicacies
Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp has been a part of headlines for quite a long time now. The actor recently won the much-talked-about defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Mr. Depp was suing his wife for $50 million for an op-ed she wrote in the Washington Post claiming that she is a survivor of domestic violence. The op-ed allegedly made things go south for Johnny Depp in professional as well as personal aspects.

Depp was given $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages (however the judge eventually reduced Depp’s punitive damages to $350,000 according to Virginia law). As per reports, Johnny Depp was seen celebrating his victory at an Indian restaurant in UK Birmingham with friends. He allegedly spent over $62,000 (approximately ₹48.1 lakh) on his celebratory dinner.

On Sunday night, the 58-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star was joined by musician Jeff Beck and about 20 guests at Birmingham’s Varanasi restaurant for freshly prepared Indian food and beverages. Depp and his pals dined at the restaurant from 7 p.m. for around 3 hours. According to Mohammed Hussain, Varanasi’s Operations Director, Depp was “a very lovely, down-to-earth bloke” who “spent a lot of time speaking with the staff, our friends, and family.”
Shish kebabs, chicken tikka, tandoori king prawns, butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, lamb karahi, and king prawn bhuna were among the dishes served at the special feast for the guests. According to reports, the star also placed a takeaway order. Instead of Indian sweets, the guests finished the meal with panna cotta and vanilla cheesecakes.

The Indian restaurant’s official Instagram page posted a series of photos from the actor’s visit. We can see Johnny Depp with English rock guitarist Jeff Beck in the snap, and the actor is politely posing with the restaurant’s staff and chef. “The most talked-about person on the planet right now joined us for dinner last night! We had the greatest of pleasure to be in the presence of Johnny Depp @johnnydepp and Jeff Becks @jeffbeckofficial! What an amazing and humble experience. Only at Varanasi Restaurant!” the post stated. The restaurant was closed to the public while the actor and his buddies dined on delicious Indian cuisine.
