Johnny Depp Reportedly Breaks Up With Own Lawyer Joelle Rich To Take Care of Any Loose Ends Before Upcoming Amber Heard Trial 2.0
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are one of the highly publicized former couples who are engaged in a longtime feud that began to surface when the Aquaman actress filed for divorce in 2016. After their split, they had gone through an intense lawsuit with this year’s defamation case unveiling eye-opening records which went against the latter. Even though their lawsuit battle ended in June this year, Heard is planning for a second trial.
Amid the defamation trial, reports about the actor dating his defamation trial attorney Camille Vasquez started circulating online. However, rumors were shut down by the attorney with the reports later confirming his relationship with another attorney Joelle Rich. The latest reports confirm that the new pair are no longer together.
Johnny Depp Broke Up With His Attorney Girlfriend Joelle Rich
Reports about the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, Johnny Depp being romantically involved with Joelle Rich started to surface in September this year. A new report by PEOPLE stated that the new couple is no longer dating each other. Another source told the outlet previously that their fling was not serious.
They were frequently spotted together during the former’s defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard at the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia.
While she didn’t officially represent him during the 2022 trial, she supported her then-beau in the courtroom with her presence. She was reportedly involved with Depp during her separation from her husband.
However, the 37-year-old lawyer represented Depp during his 2020 UK libel case against the Sun. The British newspaper and its executive editor, Dan Wootton had labeled the actor a “wife-beater” solely based on his ex-wife’s allegations in April 2018.

The Edward Scissorhands star kept his relationship with Rich quite low-key and turns out their relationship ended in the same manner.
His calling off the relationship ties with Rich could be linked to his upcoming trial against Amber Heard with the 36-year-old actress claiming that the verdict in the defamation trial was not supported by evidence.
They were involved in a defamation lawsuit that started in April this year with Depp winning the lawsuit. The trial was based on the opinion piece that the actress wrote back in 2018 in The Washington Post describing herself to be a “public figure representing domestic abuse”.
Though she didn’t mention her former husband by specifying his name, he was majorly affected by that. The musician then filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife demanding $50 million.
That demand was put for affecting his reputation with the actress countersuing him for $100 million. It ended with the actor winning the trial and awarded $10.35m in damages while Heard got $2m for her counter-claims.
