Johnny Depp’s Best Friend Marilyn Manson Breathes Relief as Judge Dismisses Sexual Abuse Lawsuit by Model Amidst Accusations of Trafficking Minor Girls
After the publicized events happened in Johnny Depp’s life, his best friend Marilyn Manson is also now out of the suspicious zone after the sexual abuse lawsuit was dismissed by a federal Judge, that was filed by his former girlfriend, model Ashley Morgan Smithline. As per the claims by the model, she had been assaulted by him several times however the sudden dismissal of the case is just the coating.
The sexual abuse allegations were first made public by the model against the musician in early 2021 however it is no longer in the court as the case has been tossed by a judge. Here’s a brief of what the charges are.
Ashley Smithline Accused Her Ex Marilyn Manson of Sexual Abuse
The 54-year-old star, Marilyn Manson was in the limelight for many years all for wrong reactions as many claimed him to be an abuser.
Model Ashley Morgan Smithline in May 2021 publicly alleged the former of sexual, psychological, and physical abuse against her during their two-year relationship that began in 2010.
The two reportedly first met in the summer of 2010 as Manson had reached out to her about an acting role in a film when she was a model. She is one of 15 women including actress Evan Rachel Wood who have made similar claims against the singer whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner.
In her lawsuit, she claimed that she was sexually assaulted several times, cut with a swastika-emblazoned knife despite her being of Jewish descent, and even carved his initials into her leg.
At the time, she told PEOPLE, “I was brainwashed, and it makes me feel disgusting.” Though the lawsuit is now been tossed by the court.
Sexual Abuse Charges Against Marilyn Manson Dismissed!
On Tuesday, a California judge dismissed the lawsuit filed by the model against the musician. The case was tossed without prejudice after Smithline failed to hire a new lawyer following the departure of her attorney Jay Ellwanger. Unable to represent herself, she eventually passed the deadline to obtain representation in court.
In a statement shared by Manson’s attorney Howard King, he stated,
“We wish her well and will continue to work to assure that a significant price will be paid by those who have tried to abuse our legal system.”
While Mason was steadfast that “their accusations against me of abuse, assault, r*pe, threats and the like are unequivocally false.” He shared, “I never abused, assaulted, raped, threatened, or trafficked any of these women, as they contend.”
Not just her, he had denied all the accusations claimed by other women. It indeed is a sign of relief for him after the Smithline’s case dismissal.
