On 6th May 2023, the Teenage Dream hitmaker attended the prestigious crowning ceremony of King Charles III in London, a day before her performance at the celebratory musical concert. Katy Perry was spotted having an ‘Oops’ moment as she struggled to maintain her balance after seemingly stumbling while exiting an Anglican church. But she quickly regained her balance and continued walking outside Westminster Abbey without falling.

King Charles’ coronation ceremony was attended by several members of the British royal family like Prince Harry, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and her kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Many Hollywood celebrities were also in attendance, including Katy Perry, who performed at the coronation event on Sunday. Actresses Dame Emma Thompson and Dame Judi Dench were also present in the ceremony wearing elegant outfits.

Katty Perry Struggles to Find Her Seat at the Crowing Ceremony

According to reports, Katy Perry is also an ambassador for the British Asian Trust. In 2020, King Charles announced her as an ambassador of the British Asian Trust Children Protection Fund for India. Last month, she released a statement and expressed gratitude for getting invited to attend the coronation ceremony. Perry Wrote, 

“I am excited to be performing at the coronation concert and helping to shine a further light on the British Asian Trust’s Children’s Protection Fund, whose work includes on-ground initiatives to fundraising, with the aim to find solutions to child trafficking.”

Another clip from the ceremony which caught people’s attention was when Katy Perry looked confused as she tried to find her assigned seat with British Vogue editor Edward Enninful inside Westminster Abbey. The singer became a meme after the clip of her looking dazed inside the coronation ceremony went viral on the internet.

Katy Perry’s close brush with an embarrassment bombshell at King Charles’ coronation would have certainly given her fans a heart attack. A major slip-up like this, at an insanely historic event such as the once-in-a-generation coronation, would have permanently scarred her reputation. Perry is probably super relieved that she regained her balance and never hit the ground.
