Married in 1996, it has been more than 25 years of togetherness for Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. Living a happy life with an amazing ongoing career the two often look back the memory lane. The Live hosts, Ripa and Consuelos although stand strong, it wasn’t always the same for them. No matter how happy and healthy their relationship looks on a recent note, the couple had their struggles in the early years.

Calling out the challenges they faced in the past, Kelly Ripa pointed out a few of the habits she disliked about her husband. Without holding back, Ripa called Consuelos for being “insanely jealous” during the initial years. Recalling an event from the past, Ripa and Consuelos discussed their differences and challenges.

Kelly Ripa Called Out Mark Consuelos’ Jealousy

Marriage is a long-run process that requires commitment, patience, and a lot of sacrifices. Long-term couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos walk down memory lane to discuss their marriage challenges and how they stood with each other through thick and thin. While discussing their initial challenges, Ripa didn’t hold back and called out her husband’s jealousy. Although things have improved in the present, it wasn’t the same when they started.

My biggest complaint about you over the course of our marriage — and this is not recent because it definitely changed — but you used to be insanely jealous and that was a hard pill to swallow.” Kelly Ripa blurted during her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast. Married in 1996, the couple discuss the way they built their life together with patience and understanding. Acknowledging the fact of how difficult it is to build a life with someone who is jealous, Ripa mentioned how her husband changed for the better.

Kelly Ripa Recalled An Incident With Mark Consuelos 

While having a discussion about Mark Consuelos’ jealousy, during an episode of Let’s Talk Off Camera, Ripa recalled an incident. Addressing the first time Ripa ever got upset over her husband’s behavior, she recalled the incident in the Italian restaurant. “It was our first week of marriage because we didn’t take our honeymoon until later. You were working and I went to visit you in Boston.” Kelly Ripa started.

Further adding to the story, Ripa shared, “We went to this Italian restaurant and the waiter was, like, a very cute old man, he’s definitely in his 70s if not 80s. He leaned down and he said, ‘And for the principessa?’” Apparently, the Live host found the connotation sweet, however, her husband was not on the same page with her. “I thought it was so cute that this little old man called me a princess, and I looked at him and I gave him my order in a very smiley way. And he walked away and you picked a horrible fight.” Ripa ended shared the entire event.

Mark Consuelos addressed the event and defended himself by stating how his age must have got the best of him. “I remember that. Look at age 25, I was pretty insane. But that jealousy thing definitely followed me for a while. I’m not jealous anymore.” Consuelos stated. Accepting his acknowledgment and the way he worked on himself, Kelly Ripa felt grateful and further discussed how they figured out their way in their marriage.
