Kevin Federline Reportedly Moving Britney Spears’ Kids to Hawaii as Last Attempt at Milking Child Support from $60M Rich Music Icon?
Pop Icon Britney Spears’s life has not been easy even after her 13-year-long conservatorship was revoked because of the damaged relationships she has had with people close to her, including her sons, whom she shares with former husband Kevin Federline.
Kevin Federline’s attorney recently provided an update on the relationship between the sons and their mother, including the fact that they have moved to Hawaii with their father. The icon and the teenage sons experienced a period of estrangement, which was followed by a lot of controversies between them.
Britney Spears reconnected with Sean Preston and Jayden James
Toxic singer Britney Spears, who is now looking forward to healing and getting back to her normal life after being under a 13-year-long conservatorship, recently reconnected with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, recently shared that the pop icon recently connected with her sons probably a couple of weeks ago before the sons moved to Hawaii with their father. A source also shared with Page Six that the boys have dealt with some trauma due to the wildfires that ravaged the state of Maui.
The family decided to move to Hawaii because Federline’s wife, Victoria Prince, had got a job opportunity there. The attorney said,
“[They are] not personally [affected], but there are people in the area that are dying and having their homes destroyed, so it’s very traumatic. Obviously, right now, everyone is very sad about what’s going on there with the fires and the casualties from the fires, but other than the trauma from that, they’re very happy to be there.”
The news of the singer reconnecting with her boys comes after the documentary TMZ Investigates: Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom, which was released in May last year, which noted that the tension between the mother and her sons started to grow so bad that they stopped replying to her texts. The kids decided not to attend their mother’s wedding with now husband Sam Asghari, but wished them all the best for the future.
Kevin Federline comments on claims of extending child support from Britney Spears
Things have never been fine between the exes and when it was reported that Federline was moving to Hawaii with the kids, rumors about him making the move so that he could extend the number of years that Spears has to pay him child support started to circle.
Federline quashed the rumors by saying to a paparazzi that a lot of people say a lot of stupid things when he are asked about the same. However, the singer’s fans do not believe him as they pointed out that in Hawaii, payments are notably ordered for children up to the age of 23 if they are enrolled full-time.
Fans were quick to comment with one stating, “Kevin desperately wanting to move to Hawaii is definitely child support related,” while another said, “He’s exploiting her for money.” A user also mentioned that the former dancer decided to make the move after he was sued by his other minor children’s private school for owing them more than $15,000. They wrote online, “Kevin Federline gets sued for not paying for the education of his kids and then decides to move to Hawaii where he can apply to get child support until Britney’s boys are 23.”
Britney Spears initially paid the former dancer and ex-husband around $20,000 a month in child support, which later in 2018 Federline demanded to be raised to $60,000.

Is Britney Spears okay with her sons moving to Hawaii?
A lot of fans were curious about the fact that if the singer, who already has a sour relationship with her kids, was okay with them moving with their father to Hawaii, to which her attorney Mathew Rosengart said, “To her credit, Britney Spears will not interfere with and consent to the relocation”.
Reports also suggest that Federline had threatened to take her to court if she did not accept their relocating. His attorney also stated that the family is also moving away to avoid the drama that usually follows their family and the boys are very excited about building a future in a new environment, making new friends, and exploring new opportunities.
In response, Spears’ attorney said to Kaplan,
“It was also ironic [that you said] the children wanted to be ‘more sheltered from the media’s scrutiny.’ That is commendable. But [Federline’s] media interview did nothing to shelter them; instead, it publicized the issue in the media.”
He lastly ended the letter by saying that Britney Spears is a loving and supportive mother, which is why she is okay with the boy moving to have a new life.
