According to palace insiders, the 74-year-old is shaking because of the duo. Royal biographer Tom Bower reported that the king is paralyzed by fear and indecision on how to handle the renegade couple.

Why Is King Charles Scared Of The Sussex Couple

As Buckingham Palace gears up to celebrate the most pious event of the British royal family, the king seems to be prioritizing something else. King Charles’ coronation ceremony is taking place on May 6, 2023, and includes royal family members, celebrities, bureaucrats, and royal families from across the globe.

As Britain’s new king officially gets coronated this May, the oldest person to accede the throne is paralyzed by fear. And, it has everything to do with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who have been taking constant blows at the royal members. Royal biographer Tom Bower reported that the king is “paralyzed by fear and indecision”, and is avoiding a confrontation with the duo.

Bower added in an article, “Charles has failed to suppress the Sussexes’ vile vitriol. In calculating whether to allow the Sussexes to attend his coronation, Charles has reverted to his familiar stance — dithering, worrying about his image.”

The king is also worried about the limelight that the renegade couple might steal in case they pull another stunt. Bower also mentioned, “Ever since Megxit, Meghan and Harry have humiliated the King and the Royal Family.” On the other hand, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already forwarded several demands, including a spot on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the event.

What Are Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Demanding?

If you don’t know this, the centuries-old convention stated that a coronation should be a sacred ceremony between a monarch and their people in the presence of God. This time, the forward-looking king decided to give away this tradition as he invited members of foreign royal families, making it one of the most historic moves in Britain’s royal history.

For months, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have gone full blow at the royal household. From their explosive Netflix documentary to Prince Harry releasing his autography, Spare, King Charles and Prince William have been on the hit list of the duo. Despite this, an invite for the king’s coronation was sent to the two.

But again, per recent reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven’t yet decided to put an attendance. Meanwhile, they have forwarded a list of demands for the British royal family. The couple will be meeting each of them with a “cold shoulder” but has clarified that they need a spot on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the coronation.

Apart from this, Prince Harry and Markle have also asked for acknowledgment of their two young kids during the festivities. King Charles has no intention of seeing his grandson or his beau.
