“Leah will call Tom to be a witness”: Leah Remini Was Allegedly Punished For Asking the Wrong Questions After Tom Cruise’s Marriage With Katie Holmes
American actress Leah Remini has recently filed a lawsuit against the church in which Tom Cruise and his ex-wife Katie Holmes had gotten married in 2006. She claimed that she was abused by the Church of Scientology for asking the wrong question.
Tom Cruise is the most recognizable face of this church and is close friends with Scientology leader David Miscavige, against whom Remini has filed a case along with the Church itself. Cruise was also awarded the Scientology Freedom Medal of Valor in 2008 by David Miscavige.
Leah Remini Made Some Serious Allegations Against the Church of Scientology
Leah Remini also claimed that her family and friends have also been the victims of the church and they have “incessantly harassed, threatened, intimidated, and embarrassed” them. She is backed by the former leaders of the church who have also been victims of the church’s wrongdoings.
Former Scientologist Claire Headley, who quit the church with her husband in 2006, has said that Scientology has this policy secretly known as ‘Fair Game’ which it uses to punish its enemies, most of which are people who left it. She also insisted that Tom Cruise, who is claimed to be playing a key part in the church’s leadership, might have “personal knowledge” of the church’s “abuses”.
Remini has said that the false rumors spread by the church that had labeled the actress as a “bigot” and “horrible person” have caused her to lose and have a bad reputation. She is making this a public crusade now since her previous attempts at bringing the truth out about the Church of Scientology were not having much effect.
Tom Cruise Might Have to Get Involved in the Case
Tom Cruise became an advocate of the controversial church in 1989 after his first wife Mimi Rogers converted him in 1986. He has been called “essentially second in command” by Leah Remini in the Twitter announcement she posted recently. In the post, she accused the church of having harassed her for years after she had asked a question about David Miscavige’s missing wife at Tom Cruise’s wedding with Katie Holmes in Italy in 2006.
A well-placed source has told The Post that Tom Cruise might have to show up during the trial. They said:
“I think that Leah will call Tom to be a witness. She claims that she was abused after his wedding, so why wouldn’t she call him? He’s a part of this.”
Whether this will truly happen or not is yet to be known as Tom Cruise hasn’t addressed the matter yet, but Leah Remini has made some really serious allegations against the church. The lawsuit was filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court and says that Remini was “stalked, surveilled, harassed, threatened, intimidated” after she quit the church in 2013.
