“Like stirring the sh*t”: X-Men Star Jennifer Lawrence Wants To Make Everyone’s Life A Living Hell With This Career Choice
Jennifer Lawrence is one of the best actresses in Hollywood. Following her film debut in the 2008 drama film Garden Party, she has been a trailblazer as she has only gained more fame and success over the past decade and continues to do so with each new project, her most recent being Gene Stupnitsky’s s*x comedy No Hard Feelings.
It is not uncommon for actors to delve into the development of movies by becoming a director or a producer. One such actor is the action star Tom Cruise who owned the Cruise/Wagner Productions which produced many of his films before going defunct in 2008. Like several other actors, Jennifer Lawrence also wishes to branch out into the other aspects of filmmaking.
Jennifer Lawrence Aspires to Switch Career Paths
While promoting her movie No Hard Feelings, Jennifer Lawrence went on a Chicken Shop date with Amanda Dimoldenberg on which she revealed some very interesting stuff. When Dimoldenberg said that she thinks the Hunger Games actress would be “good on a reality show”.
However, the actress was quick to retort by saying, “My dream would be to be a producer. Like the one that’s, like, stirring the sh*t.” Dimoldenberg jokingly asked if Lawrence intended to make everyone’s life hell to which the Don’t Look Up star responded with a resounding, “Yes” with a sparkle in her eyes.
Judging by how enthusiastic Jennifer Lawrence is and how honest she is about her feelings; it can be presumed that she will do what she intends to do in the realm of film production. Considering how she good is at acting, it is safe to say that she will be a successful producer too.
Jennifer Lawrence’s Views of Being a Producer
Jennifer Lawrence is most known for her roles in the dystopian action film franchise Hunger Games in which she appeared as the protagonist Katniss Everdeen and the superhero film franchise X-Men in which she portrayed the shapeshifting mutant, Mystique.
Lawrence has already produced a movie which also happens to be her most recent project No Hard Feelings. She was eager to star in a comedy, so she accepted her friend Gene Stupnitsky’s offer to play the role of a young woman Maddie Barker who dates a 19-year-old boy fulfilling his rich parents’ wishes on the basis of a post on Craigslist, to avoid going bankrupt.
In an interview with George Stephanopoulos, the Oscar-winning actress talked about her experience of working as a producer. She told the host that her life as a producer was going “good”. She went on to say: “It’s busy, but focused and streamlined. I don’t take on anything that I can’t personally read every draft of and give notes on.”
When asked if she would like to be a director someday, Lawrence said that she used to think about it but recently, she has been feeling very tired and that directing movies seems to be an arduous task. Currently, she is more focused on enjoying her life with her little family of three.
