The two of them, who are now dating different people, are invited to spend holidays with their respective partners, but their partners are siblings, so they end up in the same space after a decade. Avery and Logan try to keep their romantic history a secret from their partners.
Fans noticed that Our Little Secret’s opening montage shows one pop culture event from 2014 to 2024 and manages to include a bit of everything. It shows the Ice Bucket Challenge, the success of Stranger Things, the fire of the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Bernie Sanders meme, the appearance of NFTs, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, and more.
The opening sequence of the movie seemed like one of the iconic opening sequences. But fans have pointed out that the montage missed out on two very significant events, i.e., the pandemic and Donald Trump’s presidency. A Reddit user mentioned that maybe it would have been too controversial for the movie to include the pandemic that brought the entire world to a standstill for almost three years.
Donald Trump served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021 and was recently re-elected for a tenure of five years. His presidency was also missing from the montage, as it seems like a little controversial event to showcase in a movie. However, Taylor Swift, in her history-making era with the Eras Tour, was featured in the montage, which excited the Swifties. They noted that Lohan appreciating Swift is something they’ll cherish forever.
