“Look at the bounty”: Zoro vs Sanji Continues, Mackenyu Needed Only 4 Words to Shut Taz Skylar Up Before Their One Piece Clash
One Piece is known for having some of the strongest and most capable characters in the anime world such as Zoro and Sanji. It’s quite a sight to watch two characters battle it out because they each have a variety of intriguing and distinctive power systems. As strong as they can be, the Straw Hats have often had to go past their known boundaries in order to achieve their goals and survive in a world of pirates.
Apart from Luffy, two Straw Hats in particular—Roronoa Zoro and Vinsmoke Sanji—have been compelled to obtain greater degrees of strength than any other. Zoro and Sanji have been at odds with one another since the “Little Garden” arc in the Alabasta saga, with each of them thinking they are the superior and more capable crew member.
Mackenyu Settles The Long-Running Debate With Four Words
In a WIRED interview with the cast of One Piece‘s live-action adaptation, Mackenyu, the actor who plays the role of Roronoa Zoro, finally settled the debate of the long-running question regarding who is the strongest among the two- Sanji or Zoro.
The cast of Netflix’s new live-action adaptation of One Piece, Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy), Emily Rudd (Nami), Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro), Taz Skylar (Sanji), and Jacob Romero (Usopp), answered 50 of the most Googled questions from fans of the long-running manga and anime. One of the questions was: “Who is stronger, Sanji or Zoro?”
Taz Skylar tried to evade the question by saying that it would take them all day to settle this debate, but Mackenyu had no qualms whatsoever to say that Zoro was the stronger of the two. Skylar immediately came to the defense of Sanji, saying that unlike Zoro, he did not need any external weapons, to which Mackenyu smartly quipped: “Look at the bounty”.
Is Zoro Really Stronger Than Sanji?
Even though the battle would be tight, Zoro would ultimately take the win. Given how similar their strengths appear to be, this is difficult to establish, but the series has provided sufficient evidence that Zoro would prevail in a fight between the two.
Zoro’s body is simply not as resilient as Sanji’s anymore, no matter how powerful it is or how much agony it can take. Although the show has repeatedly hinted that Zoro is more resilient than Sanji, it is now far more difficult to harm Sanji with the awakening of his Germa 66 enhancements.
They appear to be about equal in terms of combat style, but Zoro prevails. Zoro’s destructive potential has increased so much since he got Enma that, although their skins are meant to be impenetrable, both Big Mom and Kaido were terrified of his strikes. Even while his body has toughened up, it doesn’t seem to be as strong as the two Yonkos’. Because of this, Zoro appears to have superior swordsmanship and weaponry between the two.
And lastly, the matter of their haki. Since Zoro’s Conqueror’s Haki has been confirmed, the two would have resulted in a tie or possibly even a victory for Sanji because of his partially awakened Future Sight. However, this is no longer the case. It has been demonstrated that Conqueror’s Haki can completely turn the tide of a battle by taking out formidable opponents with a single blow. This implies, unfortunately for Sanji fans, that Zoro currently has the best chance of emerging victorious in a combat between the two of them.
