Vincent D’Onofrio, who is quite popular as the face behind Kingpin, was praised for his performance in the Echo. Daredevil Villain Kingpin Will Be Seen In Tom Holland led Spider-Man 4

Vincent D’Onofrio’s hand-to-hand formidable combatant has already set the bar very high with respect to antagonists in the superhero universe. During a recent interview with the famous entertainment outlet ComicBook.com, the American actor was asked about whether he was approached by the Sony and Marvel studios for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. The Echo actor responded as

“I think if the powers that be want that to happen then it will happen, you know? I think there certainly hasn’t been any kind of talk that it’s not gonna happen. “I mean, to me that’s the direction that we should go in…but who knows? You know, you get these calls and they’re like, ‘Oh we’re doing this now.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, okay.’ You know, it’s like that.”

While talking about Avengers: Secret Wars, Vincent D’ Onofrio further said

“I don’t see why he has to just be in one situation. Part of the storytelling in Echo is that his reach has gotten further. He’s gone from just controlling Hell’s Kitchen and certain stuff coming in from the ports of Manhattan, and the veins of his business are running wider across the country and I think eventually across the world. So I think he is sort of in every place. I think that that’s the way I see it. I see it as Vanessa and him being quite powerful.”

However, a recent post on X even mentioned Kingpin’s appearance in the fourth installment of Spider-Man. The post read as

Kingpin is reportedly set to appear in ‘SPIDER-MAN 4’ but talks with Vincent D’Onofrio have not happened yet.

Vincent D’Onofrio led Kingpin was last seen in Alaqua Cox’s miniseries Echo. 

Vincent D’ Onofrio’s Kingpin Believes Only Two Superheroes Can Knock Him Down

Undoubtedly, Vincent D’Onofrio’s performance as Kingpin stands out in comparison to other antagonists. During a recent appearance on a chat show Jake’s Tale, the actor spoke about his character and even mentioned the two superheroes who can defeat Kingpin. He said-

“This is a very difficult question, because I don’t see that happening. I don’t see Kingpin dying. Kingpin never died in the canon of the comic books, so that’s very difficult. I’ll talk in terms of who could come close to it.

He further added

“It would have to be either Daredevil or Spider-Man together, the two of them together, maybe.”

Vincent D’ Onofrio was praised for his terrific performance as Wilson Fisk/ Kingpin in the Daredevil series. He even went on to reprise his role in the Hawkeye series, too, which ended with his character being helped at a gunpoint by Alaqua Cox’s Echo. The Marvel-backed miniseries Echo explores the relationship between Maya Lopez and Kingpin.
