Mark Consuelos Recalled A Little Joke
Navigating through the morning show, Live with Kelly and Mark, the real-life couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos addressed the Met Gala 2023. Discussing the fashion event and briefing their audience about the same, the hosts mentioned how close they live to the venue of the Met Gala. While discussing the proximity of the event from their house, Mark Consuelos recalled a hilarious incident.
Speaking in retrospect about a little joke he played on his daughter, Lola, the actor began to relieve the moment while sharing. “The Met Gala and the museum is close to our house, and one of my buddies, Nick Jonas, was on his way to the Met Gala, and traffic was crazy” Consuelos began. Soon he was interrupted by Kelly Ripa, as she made fun of her husband for namedropping the singer.
Moving on with the story, the Riverdale alum mentioned how Jonas was stuck in traffic and wanted to visit their house with a purpose. “He was stuck in traffic, and he said ‘Hey man, do you mind if I use your bathroom? I’m on my way” the actor stated. Further, allowing Nick Jonas as a guest, Consuelos asked the singer to stop by. With audiences chuckling at the visuals, the actor went on with the story involving Lola in the next part.
Mark Consuelos’ Nasty Nick Jonas Surprise
Discussing the little joke, and his cunning plan, Mark Consuelos mentioned, “Now, Lola was probably a sophomore or a junior in high school”. Ripa took the initiative to rectify her husband stating, their daughter was possibly a grade schooler at the time. Mark Consuelos went on, “She came home from school, she wore sweatpants to school, she had gym class the final period”.
Sharing the joke he played on his daughter, the actor mentioned, “She was in a disarray and I knew Nick was gonna come through the door.” Navigating through the climax, the actor mentioned, “I say ‘Hey listen, there’s going to be a delivery at the front door if you can get it for me, please answer the door”. Laughing at the devious plan of Consuelos, the audience looked up to the story.
Before proceeding any further, the actor clarified how his daughter was a massive fan of the Jonas brothers, “from day one”. Laughing, Consuelos mentioned how he stated it was “probably Amazon” when the doorbell rang. However, it was quite the opposite, “She walks over and she opens the door, and behind the door is this beautiful, shiny, dazzling Nick Jonas” Consuelos stated.
Putting down his head in embarrassment, the actor mentioned, “He goes ‘Hey, Lola!’ …She goes, ‘Hi Nick,”. Detailing how his daughter reacted, Consuelos stated, “And she turns around and she looks at me, and says ‘I’m gonna kill you’.” Ripa further clarified how their daughter has “never forgiven” Consuelos to date, for that little nasty joke he played on her.
