After the massive success of Killers Of The Flower Moon, Martin Scorsese is back on the silver screen. According to the reputed media outlet Variety, the Taxi Driver director will be seen in Julian Schnabel’s upcoming crime mystery In the Hands of Dante. He has previously been a part of Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 project Dreams and has even performed as a voice artist in Shark Tale. During an interview with Variety, filmmaker Julian Schnabel spoke about Scorsese’s association with his upcoming project. He said-

“He is extraordinary in the film. You can’t take your eyes off him.”

The star-studded cast of In The Hand Of Dante includes actors like Al Pacino, Gerard Butler, Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, and Oscar Issac. The project is based on a novel of the same name by author Nick Tosches. Martin Scorsese would be seen as a sage who ended up influencing Dante Alighieri while he wrote The Divine Comedy in Julian Schnabel’s upcoming crime mystery

Martin Scorsese Claims Leonardo DiCaprio’s Performance In Killers Of The Flower Moon Does Not Need An Oscar

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio have been working since the early 200s. They first came together for Gangs Of New York in 2002. Killers Of The Flower Moon was their sixth collaboration. During an interview with Variety, Martin Scorsese spoke about Leonardo DiCaprio being snubbed by the Oscars this year. According to the talented filmmaker, the Titanic star does not need an Oscar for his excellent performance in Killers Of The Flower Moon. He said-

“He went so far into the complexities and contradictions of a man who was so weak, so malleable, who did such unspeakable things, but who also truly loved his wife. Leo fearlessly created a true Everyman … an Everyman that people just don’t want to acknowledge. So that will endure.”

“They were pissed. He [Leonardo DiCaprio] was the first to text me congratulations, with popping confetti. I told him how upset we all were. My nomination is equal parts his. I would not have been able to do what I did without his generosity as an actor and as a human being.” 

Lily Gladstone was critically praised for her performance in Killers Of The Flower Moon. She even went on to earn a Golden Globe Award for the Scorsese-led project. The actress played the character of Molly Kylie, the wife of Ernest Burkhart, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in Killers Of The Flower Moon. With ten Academy Award nominations, Leonardo DiCaprio’s Killers Of The Flower Moon stands in the third position in the competition followed by Emma Stone’s Poor Things and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.
