Marvel Fans Make Heartwarming Tribute Video of Best Chris Evans MCU Scenes on His 43rd Birthday
Marvel is one of the oldest superhero comics franchises. Its cinematic universe MCU, kickstarted with 2008’s Iron Man, turned out to be a global sensation as it has one of the largest fandoms in the world. Sometimes, fans show their appreciation for the heroes they have spent years watching and reading about through fan art, concept videos, and compilations of videos from the movies and shows.
Chris Evans is widely known for his role as the Marvel character Steve Rogers and his alter-ego superhero Captain America. Evans was among the first actors to join the franchise and graced the silver screens as a superhero for years. This obviously demands a tribute for his contributions on special occasions. A fan has done just that for his 43rd birthday by making a compilation of some of his best scenes/quotes in the MCU.
Fan Honors Chris Evans on His Birthday with a Compilation Video of Captain America’s Best Scenes in MCU
Chris Evans‘ first credited performance was in a 1997 educational film. In fact, his breakout did not come until he starred as Johnny Storm/Human Torch in 2005’s Fantastic Four movie. Five years later, he signed a multi-film deal with Marvel to play the role of Captain America, the role that changed the trajectory of his career.
In honor of Evans’ 43rd birthday, fans have posted a video of some of his best MCU moments on their YouTube channel iDecimate. Some of the quotes featured in the video are:
Avengers, assemble!
I don’t want to kill anyone. I don’t like bullies; I don’t care where they’re from.
Before we get started, does anyone want to get out?
This job, we try to save as many people as we can. Sometimes that doesn’t mean everybody, but you don’t give up.
There are many other inspiring and powerful moments of the superhero in the video. Now that the Knives Out actor has moved on from the role, it is only fair to reminisce about some of his iconic moments through the video.
Chris Evans Was Very Reluctant to Star as the Marvel Character Captain America
Hilariously enough, initially, Evans was reluctant to take up the role and had to be convinced by Robert Downey Jr., who was fresh off the success of Iron Man at the time. In a Vanity Fair report, it was revealed that the Lightyear actor turned down the role several times before finally signing the contract after Marvel made it a six-movie deal instead of a nine-movie one.
The biggest thing I was worried about was making shitty fucking movies. I don’t want to make shitty movies and be contractually obligated to make garbage.
Evans was still terrified but did it anyway assuming that he was done for. Luckily, he was proved wrong, Marvel’s decision to do everything in their power to cast the actor was right, and fans loved every bit of what the two did together.
