Marvel confirms speculation about Sylvester Stallone’s character

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Sylvester Stallone played Stakar Ogord/ Starhawk. In this version of the character, Starhawk leads a group of Ravagers and shares a history with Yondu Udonta. He once freed Yondu from a Kree slave’s life, solidifying their relationship in the MCU.

Finally, Marvel Studios has revealed the effects Yondu’s passing had on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). They also revealed how it altered the Guardians of the Galaxy series. Fans recently got the chance to see an exclusive look at Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 production behind the scenes in a Marvel Studios Assembled episode. Yondu’s heartbreaking departure in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 acted as an inspiration for the Ravagers’ unifying according to producer Simon Hatt.

Although Sylvester Stallone’s Stakar Ogord and his Ravager team appeared in the second mid-credits scene in Vol. 2, it wasn’t until recently that it was made clear that this was the point at which all Ravager groups got together. The pride Stallone’s character displayed at the reunion served as a representation of the Ravagers’ enduring sense of friendship and brotherhood.

Stallone’s Starhawk and his crew made a triumphant comeback in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. They joined the core Guardians as they set out on a mission to save Rocket from danger.

Stallone admitted that because of his distinctive voice and unusual appearance, he doesn’t quite fit the mold of a normal comic book character. He did, however, indicate a desire to play a part similar to Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury. Stallone’s justification was that he could envision himself as a character who isn’t always the center of attention but still makes a big contribution to the story.
