Evans has publicly vocalized his desire to find his person and start a family before. And now that the actor has found that person in Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, he is going above and beyond to make her feel special. The Gifted actor has made it clear that family is a big thing for him. And now that his family has expanded to Portugal after his marriage to Baptista, he is making efforts to be a dutiful son-in-law.
Chris Evans: The Perfect Son-in-Law
Bonding with the in-laws is always a tricky business. Not everyone is blessed enough to flex they get along with their significant other’s family.
Chris Evans seems to be starting out strong on that front. After saying ‘I Do’ in Cape Cod, Massachusetts over the weekend, Evans and Alba Baptista are to have a second ceremony in Portugal for the bride’s family.

The couple tied the knot on September 9, in an intimate ceremony. As per reports, the guestlist was tight and included Evans’s Avengers co-stars, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner.
The newlyweds were in a relationship for over a year before taking the big step. Sources say, Evans knew very quickly that Baptista was the one for him. And now that they have decided to spend the rest of their lives together, Evans is not leaving any stone unturned.
Chris Evans’s Second Wedding Ceremony
As hearty congratulations and blessings pour in for the newlyweds around the globe, they have decided to double the celebrations. They are going to have a second ceremony in Portugal.
The first ceremony which was held at Evans’s private estate was close-knit and private. Word is, that the guests had to sign NDAs. The second one is expected to be not much different.
Sharing some insight on the arrangement, an insider told Page Six:
“There is going to be a second gathering in Portugal for members of Alba’s family who couldn’t be in Massachusetts. Their second nuptials will be held sometime this week in Portugal for members of Alba’s family.”
It is extremely thoughtful on Evans’ part to honor Baptista’s culture and heritage and have a second ceremony in her homeland. Fans of the star are torn. Some mourn that the World’s Sexiest Man Alive has now settled down while others are overjoyed for Evans and Baptista.
