Halfway into the filming of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Heath Ledger suffered from an accidental overdose which very sadly and untimely took his life back in 2008. The film proved to be a critically acclaimed project with two Academy Award nominations. However, Ledger had not updated his will before his untimely death and as a result, it did not include his then 2-year-old daughter Matilda.

Luckily, as per the Telegraph, the three actors Johnny Depp, Colin Farrel, and Jude Law that filled in for Ledger’s character in the movie namely Tim decided to donate the film’s earnings to the late actor’s daughter. This was done out of respect for the actor as well as for his daughter to have no financial troubles.

Although Depp did an applaudable deed with this action, however since then the Edward Scissorhands star has been involved in legal issues concerning his ex Amber Heard. The two collided head-on in last year’s defamation trial.
