Seems like when acclaimed actor Matthew Perry was alive, he had enough questions during various interviews, of which one was about the FRIENDS reunion.

It is been quite a long time since FRIENDS ended with its last season, and even though it has concluded, people can’t stop rewatching it until they reach their never-ending love for all the friends and its compelling storyline. Matthew Perry who played one of the most exciting characters among the friends once asked a reporter during an interview to stop questioning him about the FRIENDS reunion.

Matthew Perry iconically known as Chandler Bing will forever live in every FRIENDS fan’s heart even though the actor has tragically passed away from drowning. During a 2016 interview with ITN, Perry talked about numerous things including his debut in playwriting and discussing what he crafted. The Serving Sara star was also asked if he had moved on from the show and this is where Perry blocked the reporter from asking that question. He said:

“Stop asking me questions about the Friends reunion”.

The 17 Again star lightheartedly asked the reporter to stop questioning him about the reunion. Perry explained that his sense of moving on was genuine and he wasn’t influenced. The Fools Rush In star revealed the dark theme of his play and elaborated on its storyline which turned out to be appealing to the British audience. Perry shared that he blended humor, swearing, and emotions perfectly in his play, and if he worked longer, his play could have been eligible for a movie as well.

Matthew Perry also mentioned feeling an affinity with his character Jack in the TV series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. The Don’t Look Up star shared that Jack used to drink a lot just like Perry indulged in drinking and struggled with it too. He mentioned that despite being a quite distinctive character, he could connect with Jack through the alcoholism issue.

Matthew Perry’s Ex-fiancee Opens Up About Him

Matthew Perry and his ex-fiancee Molly Hurwitz got engaged in November 2020, and their relationship could not go beyond that. Soon after the actor’s sudden death at his home in an apparent drowning that gave the world a shocker, Hurwitz also broke her silence and revealed the pain she got from Perry’s passing. According to TMZ, Mattew Perry was found in a hot tub and no drugs were discovered around the actor.

However, the law enforcement sources said: “Authorities found anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and a COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) drug in the house”. The Birds of America star was severely addicted to drugs and alcohol for a long time since he was filming for his hit show. According to the Toronto Sun, Hurwitz wrote:

“I obviously knew that man in a very different way,” Hurwitz wrote. “While I loved him deeper than I could comprehend, he was complicated, and he caused pain like I’d never known. No one in my adult life has had a more profound impact on me than Matthew Langford Perry. I have tremendous gratitude for that, for everything I learned from our relationship.”

In June 2021 Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz got separated and mentioned that things don’t always work out the way we want.
