Stan Lee who is indisputably one of the most influential figures in the world of comics, did not find his journey as smooth sailing. Despite being an exceptional writer, who has crafted the amazing Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four, and a host of other multibillion-dollar properties had troubles while publishing his idea of Spider-Man. Stan Lee wrote on his X (earlier Twitter) that:

“Never give up on your dreams! When I first wrote Spider-Man my publisher said I was crazy because people hate spiders and insects and he was not going to publish it. But I never gave up, until it was published.”

Lee mentioned how his idea of bringing out our favorite Spider-Man was trashed by the publisher which might have killed Lee’s determination to define the web-slinger. But he is STAN LEE! it’s not that easy to crush his vision especially when it’s about a superhero. The renowned writer then wrote in his X:

“I think @TomHolland1996 is a great Spider-Man. He is the exact height and age I envisioned when I first wrote Spider-Man. Spidey was never supposed to be too large. How is my friend Tom doing?”

Stan Lee revealed that Tom Holland was exactly how he envisioned his Spider-Man, and as a result, he undeniably came out to be one of the coolest superheroes and was quite busy after stepping into a world filled with supernatural powers and successfully becoming a member of the Avengers. Holland then expressed his gratitude toward the writer through his official X account for giving life to Spider-Man.
