Meghan Markle Allegedly Ditched Met Gala 2023 Because of King Charles

For Met Gala 2023, the celebrities came together to pay homage to the legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld. The theme for this year was- “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The stars brought their best to the Red Carpet to honor the late Chanel director’s legacy. Meghan Markle was supposed to debut at Met Gala 2023 on the Red Carpet, and fans eagerly awaited her appearance.
Like all other renowned celebrities and eminent personalities of the fashion and entertainment industry, this year, the Met Gala 2023 invitation was also extended to the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. But the outcome was different because Meghan Markle decided to ditch the fashion night of the year, Met Gala 2023, alongside her husband, Prince Harry.
Date Clash with the Coronation of King Charles III
There are speculations that Meghan Markle decided to keep a low profile ahead of the coronation ceremony of King Charles III, which is to be held on May 6, 2023, to avoid drawing any unnecessary attention to herself. Met Gala is all about fashion, celebrities, outfits, and talks, so Markle kept her distance to not fan more speculations in the media ahead of the coronation.
On the same, it is the birthday of Prince Archie, the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Headlines also say that Meghan Markle will be busy making arrangements for the same, so she avoided the Met Gala 2023, which was also supposed to be the debut of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the Red Carpet.
Earlier, there have been many issues regarding the relationship between the British Royal Family with Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary was not well received earlier by King Charles III as he was concerned that the docuseries would cause irreparable damage to the Monarchy.

Meghan Markle is ditching the Met Gala 2023.
All those eagerly waiting for the debut of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry at the Met Gala 2023 Red Carpet were highly disappointed to know that the former actress and American member of the British Royal Family decided to ditch the event.
It was probably because of the clash of events with King Charles III’s coronation and little Prince Archie’s birthday. Meghan Markle also decided to refrain from the further media frenzy and not cause any withdrawal of limelight from the coronation ceremony towards herself.
This year Prince Archie, the son of Meghan Markle, will be four years old, and the Royal couple also has a daughter named Princess Lilibet Diana, who was welcomed by the couple in June 2021.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are no strangers to the American Red carpet events, but they could not make it to Met Gala 2023 due to the dates which interfered with their tightly packed schedule where in Prince Harry is supposed to attend his father, King Charles III coronation ceremony and then fly back to attend his son’s birthday being organized by Meghan Markle in California.
