After more than 35 years since its predecessor, Tim Burton is currently immersed in directing Beetlejuice 2, the most-awaited sequel to the iconic 1980s classic. Excitingly, both Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder will reprise their iconic roles in this eagerly awaited project.

During a recent interview with Empire, Keaton, who will once again portray the mischievous Beetlejuice, hinted at a return to the film’s original spirit through a handmade approach.

For those unfamiliar with the storyline, Beetlejuice follows the otherworldly adventures of a deceased couple, Adam and Barbara Maitland, played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis, as they attempt to scare away a family that has moved into their home. Along the way, they enlist the help of the zany bio-exorcist, Beetlejuice, portrayed by Michael Keaton.

Deadline first confirmed the official green light for Beetlejuice 2 back in February 2022. The film is being produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment in collaboration with Warner Bros, ensuring the involvement of major stars from the original film.
