Simon Peggs, who plays the role of Benji Dunn in Mission Impossible series spoke about his condition during the death-defying stunts executed by Tom Cruise during an interview with the media outlet Deadline. He said-
“All the cast that were in Norway at the time, we all went up there together. It was a genuinely nail-biting experience. Obviously, you hear the idea, and you get an idea of what it is in your head. But it wasn’t until I got up there on the mountain that I realized just how death-defyingly awesome the whole thing was.”
During the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One premiere in Rome, Simon Pegg discusses how dangerous these stunts are, and how he and other cast and crew members worry about losing To Cruise during filming, but the Jerry Maguire actor has always made his way out safe and sane. He said-
You know, I’m lucky because Benji just kind of stays behind the computer and he does his thing. Tom is jumping off cliffs on a motorbike he’s hanging his, you know, hanging off trains — it’s genuinely dangerous stuff. There’s always a sense that, you know, one day, something might go wrong, we might lose Tom, you know. Anytime there’s a big stunt, we all have that sense of, you know, fear, but he always pulls it off.
The actor also mentioned that the megastar has also delivered dialogues in the middle of a deadly stunt. He said – “When we see the stunt in the trailers, all we see is Tom go off and go down. Tom delivers a line in free fall. I mean, who’s ever done that? Who’s ever BASE-jumped and acted at the same time? Nobody.”
