“My flirtation with Cameron Diaz”: Prince Harry Comes Clean About Flirting With Cameron Diaz Before Marrying Meghan Markle
The release of the Duke of Sussex’s much-awaited memoir, Spare has already strained relations within the royal family. It has made many shocking revelations including Prince Harry’s dispute with his brother, the death of his mother, and so on. The British royal family member reportedly has “no regrets” about the revelations in his book and is extremely proud of the sales of his memoir.
However, in addition to his family revelations, the memoir also reportedly contains a few light moments of his life. One of them is when the Duke addresses rumors that he had once been going around about his relationship with a Hollywood actress.
According to several dating reports from back when Prince Harry first met this Hollywood actress in a London South Kensington gym. And it was at this point that their friendship outside of the gym really took off.
Even though it seems unlikely, this actress was none other than Cameron Michelle Diaz.
Prince Harry dispels Cameron Diaz dating rumors in Spare
Rumors of a secret relationship between then ‘single’ Prince Harry and the Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz first surfaced when the royal was in his late 20s. According to rumors, they met in a South Kensington gym. The Duke cited this as one of many examples in his new memoir Spare of what he claimed were false stories written about him.
In response to rumors that he once flirted with the Minority Report actress, he now has provided clarification.
The Duke of Sussex remembers a time in his late 20s when according to his new memoir, the media were focused more on the fact that he was single. He claimed that the media had a history of bringing up each and every relationship he had and every woman he had ever been spotted with, combining them all, and then hiring “experts, otherwise known as quacks, to try to make sense of it.”
Prince Harry added,
“Books about me dived into my love life, homed in on each romantic failure and near miss.”
He then went on to address specific allegations that he often attended gym meetings in London with members of the Gangs of New York. The Duke discusses the pressure of media in detail in his book Spare.
Prince Harry claims he was never ‘within 50 meters of Cameron Diaz’
The 38-year-old member of the Royal family claimed to have remembered one situation that described his flirtation with the Knight and Day actress. The author claimed,
“I seem to recall one detailing my flirtation with Cameron Diaz. He just couldn’t see himself with her.”
The Duke of Sussex mentions that being linked with American actress and model, Cameron Michelle Diaz is one of the many rumors he came across. Considering his rumored romance with the 50-year-old actress, he said,
“We hadn’t met, I couldn’t, in fact. I was never within 50 metres of Ms Diaz, further proof that if you like reading pure bollocks then royal biographies are just your thing.”
Prior to marrying Meghan Markle in 2018, the Duke had relationships with TV personality Caroline Flack, businesswoman Chelsy Davy, and model Cressida Bonas.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are parents to two beautiful children. While The Mask actress married Benji Madden in 2015.
