Charlie Hunnam has been making quite a presence in the Hollywood industry with his roles in Green Street Hooligans and Sons of Anarchy. Having gained quite a prominence by giving spectacular performances, he is contended as one of the potential actors to play the iconic James Bond role among various other celebrities.
While Hollywood is searching for a British male actor to portray the legendary British spy in the James Bond franchise, the actor seems not to be much excited about being considered for the role.

The 42-year-old English star, Charlie Hunnam has impressed his fans by portraying the role of Jackson “Jax” Teller in Sons of Anarchy for seven seasons. With his potential, he is being considered one of the contenders to play the legendary James Bond role after Daniel Craig’s exit.
In a 2020 interview with PEOPLE, the actor explained being extremely grateful for being considered for this role.
“I would be so flattered and honored to be considered to play James Bond as an Englishman”
However, he is also being very practical regarding playing 007 as he knows that the industry is filled with more talented artists.
“But my intuition tells me that I shouldn’t be waiting for that phone call to come. I think there are many people ahead of me on that list.”
While there is no announcement regarding the next actor playing the iconic role, he still wants his fans to put a good word about him so that he might be taken seriously.

The Shantaram star believes that his fans had a huge role in promoting him to be considered as one of the actors likely to get the role in the commercially successful franchise.
Still, he encourages his fans to continue doing so and linking his name with the role so that he could come on top of his other contenders.
“As much as people want to talk about me playing James Bond, please continue,” he shared. “Maybe that’s the genesis of these things. Maybe fan chatter leads to industry people actually talking about it in a more serious way.”
Even if he didn’t get the role, he had someone in mind he would dearly wish to see get that role.
“The person that I hear about in that conversation is Tom Hardy. I hear that he’s really the front runner [to play James Bond next].”
Adding that he, too, is an enormous “Tom Hardy fan,” he would possibly want him to take over the role which was last played by Daniel Craig in No Time to Die.
