Actor Jonathan Majors is undoubtedly one of the most famous actors in the industry in recent times. However, right now, he is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. The Creed III star was arrested last week in New York City on strangulation, assault, and harassment charges. The actor’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, has stated that he is “completely innocent.”
Not a lot of people know that Jonathan Majors also has a daughter named Ella. The 9-year-old doesn’t make a lot of public appearances but Majors talks about her in his interviews. The actor has been very private about his personal life and that’s why the identity of his daughter’s mother is unknown.
Jonathan Majors has a 9-year-old daughter
Actor Jonathan Majors doesn’t really like to share a lot about his personal life but over the years, he has mentioned that he has a daughter named Ella. He previously revealed that his daughter appreciated his co-star’s work in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,
“I’ve never seen my daughter starstruck … She’s like, ‘Nice to see you, too’ to Paul Rudd and I lost my mind. I was like ‘What did you say? Oh my god.'”
Since the actor likes to keep things private, he has never revealed the identity of his daughter’s mother. It is only known that his daughter is mixed race and lives with her mother in Atlanta.
The actor’s daughter called him after George Floyd was killed
The actor first talked about this daughter in 2020 revealing that he has a daughter who is mixed race. Later that year, the actor revealed that his daughter talked to him after George Floyd was killed. The actor revealed that his daughter’s mother called him and said,
“Look, I need you to talk to your daughter. She’s frustrated and she’s angry because her hair won’t fall down—her hair goes up.” He then told his daughter on video call, “You have a crown. That’s why your hair goes up. Your hair, your crown, came from daddy, came from his mama, came from his father, came from his sister. Sometimes that crown can get you in trouble in this world, and it’s not right. And some people want to take that crown from you.”
In 2021, the actor explained that he thinks twice before picking roles as he knows his daughter will also watch his movies.
Jonathan Majors was arrested last week
On Saturday, Majors was involved in an altercation with a 30-year-old woman in New York City. Around 11 PM, the authorities got a 911 call from an apartment in Manhattan’s Chelsea district. The victim claimed that she was assaulted by the actor and suffered minor head and neck injuries. The actor’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, has stated that he is “completely innocent” and they have enough evidence and eyewitnesses to prove it. She said,
“All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever.”
The actor’s attorney has stated that he is actually the victim and the actor knew the woman. Majors was briefly taken into custody but was released after a few hours.
